Beautiful place, wonderful staff

My family and I stayed in the three bedroom villa for five days. No one wanted to leave. This villa is the most convenient layout for a family. Lots of room and the views are breathtaking. There are many opportunities for lake recreation and it’s so close to Big Cedar property and Branson, we were able to take advantage of everything the area has to offer. Best of all, the staff here is wonderful. They work extremely hard to ensure the place is sparkling clean and well maintained. Cannot wait to return!

Must have new owners

This used to be our favorite winery by far. Our visit last Saturday (for my wife's 60th birthday celebration) will probably be our last. We arrived about 45 minutes after they opened. They now take reservations for tables= I do understand changes due to covid but were not aware of this as we always just showed up before and had no issues getting a table. They had three levels of seating- First row around building had tablecloths and glassware setup (the reserved tables) not many people at these. Then was the second row close to building and had large tables with umbrellas, these were filled up. Then there were about 8-10 tables in the sun (no umbrellas) you could only sit on three of the four sides due to steep hill. I guess they no longer have their own wine as I asked if they had something close to a chardonnay- the woman said that they had Chardonnay so I got a bottle for $25.00. It turns out it was Boggle( about $8.00 at the store. We were very hungry but there was a big sign stating all food and drink consumed here had to be purchased here. No problem we will order from restaurant except they told us that we could not even order any food for at least an hour, again I understand covid and short on help but they could relax those rules. No Going, just basically telling us to deal with it. We ended up leaving and going to Crown Valley which suprisingly was much better. Very Sad.

Riverwood Resort

We have individual cabins, several sizes to accommodate from 1 person to 10. Six of the cabins sit on the bank of the Niangua River, all have full kitchens ,fireplaces , Jacuzzi tubs and full kitchens. One mile from Bennett Spring State Park trout stream. All king beds!! Not your normal fishing cabin, luxury and comfort!

A wonderful getaway!

I discovered Riverwoods web site totally by accident. Since looked at their website and videos. Jan and I had discussed getting away I and this looked like the perfect place to go. I booked the 'Country' lodge since it accepted dogs. We arrived in early October for a 3 day stay. We could not have been happier. The place was VERY clean and neat. Beautiful high ceilings. Comfortable beds. Modern kitchen appliances. But for us the selling point was the huge deck facing the Niangua river. Jan and I got up early all 3 days to watch the river run by and see people fishing and Kayaking. In the evening we saw wonderful sunsets. We absolutely intend to go again!

Highly Recommend Thousand Hills Cabins!

Reviewed By MKTBE

I am always a little leery if accommodations are really as nice as pictured! We love coming to Branson in January when you can enjoy the beauty of the area, shopping, the attractions and restaurants that are open without the crowds. At this time of year the Cabins at Thousand Hills are very reasonably priced. They are both secluded and in the middle of everything! We chose Cabin #280, a two bedroom, 2 bath that was extremely nice. When we first entered we found a few cleaning problems - tub of downstairs bathroom was very dirty, a used towel on the bathroom counter, and a cleaning rag on the upstairs bed. The staff were polite & quickly responded. Everything else was perfect. Because of inclement weather we spent a lot more time in our cabin than we anticipated! We were grateful that it was so comfortable & and we look forward to returning to the Cabins at Grand Mountains by Thousand Hills.

Perfect

Personally, I am tired of the chain hotels and all that comes with them. I need a place to stay in order to be up and ready for a 0900 meeting the next morning. My wife booked this place for me and to say the least I was extremely surprised. The front desk staff is more than amazing and the rooms are perfect for travelers. The place was clean, cozy and comfortable. If you are looking for extravagant and over the top then keep traveling towards Branson. Room #25 has a king bed, mini frig, microwave, TV and a decent size bathroom. It's an older building so go into it with that in mind. The view was fantastic, the traffic was minimal and I slept like a baby. It is within walking distance of a few restaurants and a Casey's so everything you might need is right there. Will definitely be staying there again!
