Reviewed By indianasunshine261We stayed at this hotel last year and booked again this year. Four of us on a girls weekend. Hotel is very clean and the staff is great. John went out of his way to accommodate us and gave us lots of suggestions and helpful tips. THIS is what customer service is all about. Thank you John for all you do!! Also the woman running the breakfast in the morning was super. Sunday she was understaffed and but she kept on hustling and had a smile on her face. Great job all!!

I am not sure if there are new owners or a new manager but this past stay was the worst ever stay I have had there. They charged my daughters credit card 3 extra times for different amounts for practice (wouldn't this be fraud?). Told us to stay at a hotel someplace else if we didn't like it. The TRU is a very nice place. And the manager was generally rude. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

Disgusting and Unsafe
Reviewed By nutmegryderThis place was terrible. The first room (212) that I was checked into, the smoke detector had been removed from the wall and the wires were clearly exposed. Upon requesting a different room, I moved across the hall. The highway traffic noise was unbearable. Since I was staying for a week, I requested yet another room. The 3rd room was musty and sticky. The window would not stay open, and I couldn’t have been more uncomfortable. The following day, the I found out that they ignored the original problem regarding the smoke detector and checked one of my colleagues into room 212, while never addressing the smoke detector issue. This is illegal and unsafe! The moment you walk into this hotel, it is obvious that upkeep is not their greatest concern. There are plenty of other options in this cute town. Until the Hampton Inn gets their act together, I’d avoid this place.

Not worth the discount

It was filthy with white crusting stains on furniture, every area of the hotel stank of mildew or rotten meat, the toilet in our room wouldn't flush properly, staff was less than helpful, I could go on but there's no point. Bottom line, it wasn't worth the $50 discount compared to other area hotels and I will never book here again

Right off the highway!
Reviewed By Lisa PThis hotel is located right off the highway! We stayed here when they first opened a few years ago and I can tell it has gone down hill a little bit. The pool water was very cloudy and we did not go in! The rooms were clean, but had a very musty smell to them. We did not eat the free breakfast because it looked very picked over and not fresh. We headed down to Cracker Barrel. I would expect this from a local mom and pop hotel, but NOT a Marriott. Especially I booked 3 rooms and spend my hard earned points on this place. Upon checking out their appeared to be poo on the lobby floor (hope it was dog) and people just stepped over it. No one bothered to pick it up! That was gross!!!!

Reviewed By 602lindsaysNice hotel, very accommodating. Clean rooms and close to lake and other amenities. Great stay for our team! Whatever we needed they made sure to provide. Staff would say Good luck to our girls as they were leaving for the fields in their softball uniforms. Would like to go back for non-softball event!

Dirty, dingy, gross
Reviewed By shudso944214Everything is dirty, sheets stained, frig reeks, freezer needed defrosted so bad you couldn’t fit a candy bar in it. Carpet needs swept & cleaned.The entire room & bathroom was disheveled. Like the absolute bare minimum was done. Needs maintenance. Dust on furniture. Curtains had holes in them. Just gross. If everything wasn’t booked we would’ve left.
