This is a horrible place. I would of made my review sooner but my account with my CC company was in dispute and after 105 days, I lost the claim. So do not use AMEX to reserve hotel rooms b/c they do not care either, if the room is pathetic, disgusting, dirty and in an unsafe place in Ocala! The grounds are a junk yard. The room was dirty, stained, repairs were pasted together with spackle. The spackle container was left in the room actually, the shower was filthy and there is no morning breakfast. This place was so shady, do not fall for the prices or the pictures on this website, they are FAKE. That place looks nothing like its advertised. Magneson Hotel chain takes no responsibility for their partner hotels. This was the main reason I booked because I know the Magneson Brand and I was happy with them in Tampa. Any way, the manager will not work with you. The steal your money and when you try to leave they refuse to cancel your reservation. Booking.com and Trip Advisor were no help either. I am sorry but between all three of these companies and the compliant was reported within in 15 minutes of check in, one of them should of just charged back the funds and Magneson should remove their name from this partner. You best to just pay a few bucks more and stay in a better place NORTH of this place - go further North above 45th and so on. Go to a Holiday Inn or another chain. Good Luck in your search, but stay away from here!

Pool in the blurb ? nope, it's been emptied. No-smoking room ? stank of smoke. Soap in the bathroom ? best bring your own... there is none. Oh, and no plugs in the bath or sinks either. TV ? present yes, working no. A/C ? works, but sounds like a jet engine, so you can forget a cool night's sleep. And the people staying here apart from us seemed to be mostly homeless types.

Nice bedroom but allergic to fleas

The bedroom was nice looking and very nice size. The bathroom needed a new paint job. This was the 1st time I have agreed to stay on a pet friendly hotel. But decided to go ahead and try this one. My whole right side has so many big, itchy bites now. Breakfast was OK. I was making several of their little waffles for myself and my husband knowing what we can eat and the man from the office pointed loudly to note on door stating food can not be taken to the room. I assured him I wasn't but then he sat there watching us the entire time.

Terrible, horrible, awful smell and creepy internal door. No fridge or microwave for $105.

Reviewed By IGetPaid2DigDirt

There were no other places to stay. Busy festival weekend at Silver Spring (knap-in). On the phone, I was quoted $75 (or so I thought). Upon arrival, however, I was told $95. I wound up paying $105 with the taxes. The people running it were very nice and helpful, but according to online price listings, I think I was taken advantage of. Room key didn't work the first time, but I quickly got one that did. I should have checked the room first before I took it though. The smell was brutal. I have slept in some rough places over the years, between the military and working in the field. I once had a better night's sleep, and less stink, sitting up in a Port o Potty (no joke). The AC was not on so the stench was palpable on entrance. The room was tiled and the floor looked clean. Big screen on the wall, but no fridge or microwave so I didn't get to eat, nor did I want to after 2 minutes inside. I only brought in my sleeping bag, a sheet, a hat, and a sweater for fear of contamination and am so glad that I did. Thank goodness I had brought air freshener, but that only covered the smell for 15 minutes or so at a time. I was genuinely tempted to sleep with the door open, but there were weird people wandering around outside. I didn't dare turn on the air, because I was afraid it'd just stir it up more....think mothballs [overwhelming, almost to the point of gagging] and wet socks [slight] to the point that it's all you can taste. I spread the bag over the bed so I wouldn't accidentally touch the comforter if I rolled, and slept with the sheet tucked in around my head to cut down on the smell. I would immediately wake up if it came unwrapped because of the smell. There was also an odd, locked door inside my room that I couldn't access, in the hallway next to the bathroom. I assume it was an utility closet, but all I could think of, all night, was some creepy clown murderer would be popping out and standing over me at 2 am with a knife. As a small female, traveling solo, you tend to be paranoid sometimes. Around 12 am, I was wishing it would hurry up and happen, so the stink headache would go away. Instead of a second night, I slept in the back seat of my truck at Publix. Even with the street sweeper waking me up around 3:30 am, and the cold weather, I slept much better, though my sleeping bag and pillow still reeked like the hotel. I need new ones. I'm pretty sure that I left my license at the front desk, but when I called the person who answered said it wasn't there. Not sure I want it back at this point...... Only positive there was that staff was very polite.
