Reviewed By JrosetWe needed a place to stay for the night on our road trip and location of this BW Plus hotel was conveniently located off I-70 in Englewood outside of Dayton. Upon arrival Paulette at the front desk was doing the best she could in getting us checked in and also training a new person; they were experiencing computer and printer issues with a tech person on the phone trying to resolve the problem. Paulette was professional, did not get flustered. Our room was very nice with King bed, couch and coffee table, desk/chair, MW, Ref, bathroom had nice granite counters, all clean. One drawback was the bed was good soft for me and the toilet too low. The breakfast was just okay: husband had the biscuit with gravy, said it was good and I just had a yogurt and bagel that was too dry. With juice and coffee it was enough to start our day and get back on the road.

The room was not clean and the bathroom was horrible with dead bugs in the floor and possibly black mold on the ceiling . The furniture had not been dusted and the sofa which made an extra bed was stained and the cushion was ripped . Before you agree to stay and pay their outrageous rate PLEASE inspect the room...they are less than acceptable

Reviewed By KaseyKKI stayed here because it was on my route, and it accepts pets. For the price point, this place is a dump. I waited 10 minutes in the lobby by myself waiting to check in (it was 6 pm, so not late.) No clerk, no one around. I rang the bell at the desk a couple times. No response. When the front desk clerk finally showed up, she told me she was “busy in the back.” ? The entire place is old and needs major updating. Looks nice from the outside, but is old and run down inside. The elevator and the room are small and dark. The elevator smelled like weed (a lot), and the room stunk like stale grease. I’m assuming the person before me ate from the Mc Donalds next door and the smell hadn’t dissipated. Luckily I had air freshener spray in my car. There was a microwave and a refrigerator in the room, but the refrigerator was completely turned off. My computer wouldn’t connect to the wifi, so I was stuck with only my phone, but it was only an overnight stay. I also moved the chair in the room to look behind it trying to find where my inquisitive cat had decided to hide, and there was a used towel behind the chair. They obviously don’t move the furniture to clean so who knows how long that’s been there? I guess the bottom line is that you stay in a hotel for a bed and a shower, and both of those were acceptable, so that's worth a star. The water was hot too. I found this place lacking though compared to other places that cost the same. There's a breakfast buffet included, but it was very mediocre. Nothing special, and not well stocked. I didn't get a receipt for my stay either. I asked for one when I checked out, but the person at the desk didn't seem to know how to print one, and when she asked someone else, that person didn't seem interested in getting up to print it and pretty much ignored the request. I left without the receipt, but I don't know why it wasn't put under the door during the night like pretty much every other hotel does? I will stick with Holiday Inn Express for short stays like this in the future, as those hotels seem to be newer and a lot more consistent quality-wise. I would never stay here again, but then again, I hope I'm never required to visit Dayton, Ohio again either.

Reviewed By RuthF150While on a visit to family in the North Dayton OH area, my sister and I opted to stay at the Clarion Inn - Dayton Airport. OK, so first thing...it's not even CLOSE to the airport! When we arrived, the luggage cart was grimy and our room had a funky smell. My sister wouldn't walk on the carpet in her bare feet. When we returned from visiting with family the first day, our room hadn't been cleaned or linens provided. We were later told that you had to REQUEST housekeeping service. There wasn't a working ice machine to be found and the front desk clerk had to to go to the kitchen to get me a cup of ice. The pool was closed - due to COVID restrictions they said. Bottom line, you get what you pay for. We considered finding a better hotel, but since we were literally only sleeping and getting breakfast there, we decided to stay. I would have rated this hotel with 1 star, but they did put on a pretty good hot breakfast every morning - repetitive, but good.

Worst staff ever
Reviewed By guthzeit1256So they charged me 150 for the room even though I booked online because they said they couldn’t find the booking apparently even though I had all the details plus a $50 deposit. I paid and stayed. They say they are pet friendly went to check out they would not give me my deposit back because they said the towels were too dirty? They had mud on them from my pet but that was it. Towels get dirty that’s why you wash and bleach them. They already ripped me off saying they couldn’t find the booking which was $51 bucks and they charged me 150 and then took my $50 deposit. Absolutely the worst place in the world . It was in Englewood , OH. I called the police but had appointments and couldn’t continue to sit and wait for them to show up. DONT EVER STAY THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE OVERCHARGED FOR A CRAPPY ROOM ANYWAYS !!
