Lots of power outlets in the room, perfectly cleaned room daily, daily reminders to take advantage of the sauna (we didn't use it because we focused on our Faith activities), very cheerful and helpful hotel reception. The Closter and a whole bunch of restaurants and shops are all within walking distance. Good flat rate deal on parking. We paid CHF12 only instead of the CHF96 charge for 4 days and 3 nights. Hotel guests get 10% discount if they eat in St Georg Restaurant next door. This restaurant was a bonus! We had 2 of our 3 dinners there. Wonderful Italian dishes! The owner and his waiter were very warm and accommodating. Excellent value for money! We will stay here again next time we visit Einsiedeln!

A place to stay while I was skiing in the locality
Reviewed By Barry TThe staff were very friendly and supportive and catered my every need. I had a good single, en-suite room which was well looked after while I was ther. I experienced very good breakfasts. It was in good view of the well known historical abbey. Very many thanks.

Reviewed By AndyGS13Really excellent kitchen in this hotel. I was lucky the wild menu was available because of the time of year. This is the second time I have eaten here, so I can really recommend it. Just one point, the menu is only in German.

The Hotel Allegro is located between the lake «Sihlsee» and the famous monastery village «Einsiedeln». Hotel Allegro is mainly known as a seminar hotel and certified by Hotellerie-Suisse in 2019 as a 3-Star-Hotel. In addition to the hotel, the Allegro offers as well a pilgrimage hostel, with simple but cosy rooms and two completely separate houses for group accommodation. Hotel Allegro provides a beautiful large garden area, pond and various communal barbeques. As a Christian foundation, the Allegro has its own bright and modern chapel, which invites for prayers and meditations.

Reviewed By sdutler1963This Hotel is just perfect for a weekend, or a long stay! It has sleek, simple clean lines in decoration, big modern bathroom and bedroom. Very sincere and friendly staff, always ready to go that extra mile! For breakfast, I asked for lactose free food. Not really expecting to receive a positive answer like many of the hotels we have visited! But to our very pleasant surprise, we were told by a shy young lady who was preparing the final touches to today's breakfast that there were mango lactose free yogurt. She brought out lactose free cheesespread plus lactose free milk! I was blown away! The first in many hotels in Switzerland or for that matter worldwide! I will definitely be using this hotel again! I do recommend it for young people traveling in groups! There is a huge room eith a small "Kegelbahn" sort of swiss bowling, a billard table. Darts and other indoor games for teens and young adults. There are books to read and of course nature around this little hotel. This hotel is run by the famous monastery here. Here are some pictures.

Basic but good
Reviewed By AndyGS13The room was very warm, even with the windows open, the bathroom was tiny, but everything was very clean. The TV only had German stations, no French or Italian. The trade off was our room was looking out directly to the monastery. So the hotel is OK for one night and the room price was very competitive.
