Friendly staff, clean room
Reviewed By gophertrailWe were looking for a hotel to stay in due to storms in the area and losing our electricity. My husband has a c-Pap and required electricity to use it at night. Unlike the staff that I contacted by phone at the 2 nearby hotel chains that were less than helpful or welcoming, the staff was exceptionally accommodating, especially Emily. At the hotel, Ashley was also friendly and helpful. We will stay here again!

Horrible staff and management

As we arrived, we got a call that one of them tested positive for COVID-19. My daughter was devastated. As a platinum member of Choice Hotels, I decided to try to salvage the trip with a hotel stay where she could swim. So I booked a room at the Comfort Suites. Two hours after making the reservation, we arrived at the hotel to check in. At that time, I discovered the pool was closed. I also noted that the hotel was dark and uninviting (at 4 in the afternoon!), and the lobby appeared unclean. Kayla, the front desk agent, was very unfriendly. I explained our situation, and she was unwilling to even listen, much less assist. I told her I’d call her manager the next day. So, I called the Holiday Inn Express next door. They were extremely friendly and accommodating. Their service was amazing and their hotel was superior. When in Batesville, NEVER choose Comfort Suites, Holiday Inn Express is SOOOO much better. The next day I spoke with the manager, Debbie. She was extremely hostile on the phone from the moment she answered. She refused to refund my money because policy says she doesn’t have to. The pool closure was notated on an obscure section of the app, and the room rate was non-refundable. However, any decent hotelier would plainly see that I never stepped foot into the room, I was in a bind, and my 2-hours-old canceled reservation cost her absolutely nothing. Any reasonable person would have refunded the money. But Debbie Harrison is completely rude and unreasonable. Of this is how Choice Hotels allows their hotel operators to treat platinum members, my future business will go to Holiday Inn. Choice Hotels has been very slow to respond to my concerns. Comfort Suites in Batesville is a sub-standard hotel with terrible staff. I urge you to look elsewhere for your lodging needs.

Reviewed By jkinar515982Rooms wasn't very clean poor internet service. No breakfast offered. To many Hispanics having parties in the courtyard. Very loud outside during the night. Would not recommend for family. The front desk staff wasn't helpful at all

Reviewed By hometownhogfanI always do a bed bug check. This means I lift up the sheets and look at the mattress and mattress pad. It looked like someone had dumped pepper on the mattress. Tons of dead bed bugs and their shells. Do not stay here. I went down the road and paid a lot more for the Holiday Inn, but it was well worth it. Friendly staff and amazing hotel. After speaking with people at a local restaurant there are only two places anyone should stay the holiday in or the Comfort inn.

Unclean and not as advertised
Reviewed By michaellK9846NFDo not trust the pictures you see online, they are not an accurate description of this property. Made a formal complaint to Wyndham. Carpet was so dirty the bottoms of my feet looked like I had walked barefoot outside, the bathroom tub was not draining properly and I was up to my ankles in water, the toilet barely flushed, the exhaust fan did not work. The ac unit was leaking water onto the carpet, leaving the room moldy and musty smelling, not to mention the gnats that were all over the bathroom sink. The TV had sound but no picture, and no breakfast as advertised. Checked out as soon as we could the next morning and will not return.

Reviewed By MarlaC49We have stayed at this hotel since it opened and have always had a wonderful experience. The staff is amazing! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The pool, gym and breakfast areas are always well maintained. This is our favorite hotel in Batesville.
