I cannot say enough good things about this Inn. Our stay here added to our week in Cape Cod so much, Cliff, Liam , Pat, and all of the staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and cared about. Very glad to help with travel advice and booking ferries, which really helped us plan our tour of the Cape. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Daily room service. Breakfast is included in the pool area, which is beautiful. Very clean pool and hot tub for the guest to use. Everyone I ran into there was so pleasant and happy. The location is terrific, you can walk to ferries, shopping, and fine dining. So welcoming. I was so lucky to have discovered this Inn, and I dream of going back. Also very good price for rooms. A really, really great vacation was had by all here!!!! The staff is so welcoming.

Great solo stay for a few nights in Hyannis - highly recommend!

Due to a cancelled work trip, I found myself with a flight to Boston (from the UK) and car hire for a few days, which I decided to put to use. Boston was outrageously expensive (given the short notice of the trip), so I chose to explore Cape Cod and stumbled across the Cape Cod Harbor House Inn, based on some excellent reviews. The first point is that I found the property to be excellent value. As an impromptu, bonus holiday that I was paying for myself, I needed something affordable and this really was. Yes, I love the 4 -5* hotels that I found myself in on business trips, but this was in many ways as good. The location here was the next best thing - being so central to everything and more importantly not needing to use the car! Once I was parked up, everything in Hyannis was within a short walk (restaurants, main street, the ferries, the beaches, etc.) My actual room, was great, too.. Most importantly, I slept really well. OK, the décor was slightly dated, but everything was spotlessly clean and functional - including a full kitchenette (in case you wanted to avoid eating out). There were even plenty of USB sockets included in the light fittings, which these days are essential, especially when travelling from overseas. Finally, I want to thank Raj (the owner) for helping to make my stay so great. I hadn't spent any time researching what to do in the area, but that didn't matter, as Raj helped me with many recommendations and even booked my ferry trip for me. We spoke many times throughout my stay, which was nice, particularly as I was travelling alone. If I find myself in the area again, I would definitely stay here again!

Customer Service Nightmare

I booked two rooms for four nights at this Inn and had to cancel my trip for medical and employment reasons. I canceled the rooms three weeks before my arrival date, but the hotel's policy was it had to be 30 days before arrival - based on the rate of the room. I did not know about this policy before I made my reservation. I booked through Expedia.com and they did not show me any information that the full charge would be forfeited after the cancellation period. So, I got burned - I was charged $2457.82 (the entire amount of the stay which never happened). I called and talked to the manager to no avail. I find it truly reprehensible when an establishment sets a policy that is impossible to keep. This practice is unethical and they are taking advantage because they had 3 weeks to re-book the room. Truly a "buyer beware" scenario.

Very nice family run motel

Reviewed By LibertyStreet

The owners are actively making improvements on what must have been a real fixer-upper at one time. All new windows. Flatscreen TV. A quiet refrigerator in the room. Bed was comfortable. Heating unit is new and quiet. I got good suggestions on local restaurants (trust me, you won’t starve in Hyannis. Pretty much ALL restaurants but no franchises - except a Burger King and McDonald’s a couple blocks up).

Excellent value for price

We visited Columbus Day weekend 2021 and we were very happy with our stay. The location is awesome--walking distance to plenty of restaurants and the waterfront in Hyannis. For COVID-times, we liked the motel-style accommodations where the doors opened to the outdoors instead of an interior hallway. The rooms are a bit dated, but the bed was very comfortable. We loved the indoor pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. The best part was the price. We stayed for 2 nights here for less than the price of one night anywhere else we were looking. Since our goal was to enjoy Cape Cod and not to hang out at the hotel, this was the perfect money-saving choice for us.

Overall Very Positive -- but Expensive for a Motel

We just got back (8/27-8/28) from such a great weekend in Hyannis and thankfully this property was much better than reviews suggest! I’ll try to give you the plus’s and minus’s. When we arrived on Friday we called ahead at about 2 PM and we were pleasantly surprised the room was already to go. Check-in was a few doors down at their sister property which was a little inconvenient. When arrived there was a short line but the check in process was pretty easy so overall it wasn’t really a big deal. I agree with others – the property is old – probably built in the 60’s. Very well maintained and quaint though. I normally I stay at more upscale hotel chains, so staying in a roadside motel was a real adventure and we had a really great time. When we first entered the room it was musty and stale (it was a very hot day) the AC was off so that’s understandable. Thankfully the AC worked very well and the room got cool quickly. We did our normal inspection for bugs etc. and found none. In fact we found the room, the linens, and the bathroom to be exceptionally clean which is most important to me. A/C worked great and fridge was ice cold. Another real plus is the prime location -- close walking distance from Hyannis shopping, several pretty good restaurants, and the ferry – so it was ideal. We must’ve stayed at a peak time because every hotel/motel in town was really expensive and this place was no exception. Between taxes surcharges and parking the total was over $600 for two nights which is pretty steep for what you get. Views from our balcony were good. Views from the room were not (In order to see outside you had to open up the blinds on the door exposing the room to people walking on the balcony. The other window looked out onto another motel). Parking was abundant so we didn’t have any issues that other reviewers wrote about. The building is made of wood so you can sometimes hear others walking around in adjacent rooms. We could actually hear kids stomping around downstairs so we were pretty glad that we were on the second floor. Other than that it was pretty quiet. In summary the room was spotless, property was well maintained, bed was comfortable, the linens were clean, and location was perfect -- sitting on the balcony in the evening and watching the ships and the people walking about with a glass of wine was great, so overall I would recommend this place. Just be prepared for what you’re getting.
