Reviewed By Jagi55025Very clean. Very comfortable which is important to us. Very friendly staff. Right off the highway. Not a huge breakfast bar, but good. Close to the casino if that interests you. Good distance out of Des Moines, but not too far. Highly recommend.

Reviewed By RedDog2062This is our go to place when we travel through Osceola. It does have small rooms and is no frills. However, it’s always clean, quiet, and sold out if you don’t reserve a a room early enough. The staff is amazing and friendly. Not far from the interstate, shopping, food, and gas. We will definitely be back to the Evergreen again!!

Decent Value for Lodging
Reviewed By QbeingThe room was very large and nicely furnished, though the carpet and furnishings are showing some age and wear. Our room was called Executive (2Queen beds), I think, and it had a kitchenette. We also had a sliding glass door onto a small patio with chairs, and a view of the lake with geese visiting in the early morning. The price we got was less than advertised due to an employer discount that I enjoy. Would I pay the full price? Maybe. Other places in the area did not get such favorable reviews. I'm a bit disappointed there was no breakfast included, which is standard for many places at this price level. But the room was good and quiet, and not too far off of the highway. I was unable to visit the casino this time, so I can't comment on that. We would definitely return here when we pass through again.

Better than I expected
Reviewed By B2493DYkathylI didn't have high expectations for a Quality Inn but I was pleasantly surprised. Although it was next to (part of) a gas station, I asked for a room on the back side of the hotel and it was really quiet. The AC system was very quiet and work really, really well. The room has microwave and fridge. The only BAD thing was that the ironing board had no cover on it - and you can't iron anything on a metal diamond frame - so I had to strip the second bed and take the sheet to make a pad. Breakfast was scant. But there is a pool.

Reviewed By seanvogel20Got ate up by bed bugs, woke up at 3 am and went to the front desk to get plastic bags to put all my stuff in and check out. Offered me another room which I declined. But if I would of taken it I could have spread the bugs to another room.

Convenient and budgetastic
Reviewed By roadtripperMarylandThe motel is an older property, maybe early '60s, and while it does show its age, we were very happy with our stay. The rooms are acceptably clean, and come with the standard - fridge, microwave, wifi. The furniture is older, but for $60, you can't expect 'brand new Holiday Inn' décor. The bathrooms are fabulous original tile and fixtures, very blue. They are well kept, and the water pressure/temperature were very good. The owners were pretty nice, and gave me an old postcard of the place. We spent two nights here, and one of the best parts was the very short walk into downtown, so drinks at dinner were no problem. I think we actually stayed in August '18, since we were there for the state fair. It's a very short drive up to the free parking/shuttle in Des Moines, and you save a bundle and avoid crowds. Osceola itself is quiet and pleasant.
