Clean, cosy, great option
Reviewed By Leila MGreat staff, clean place, good breakfast, good location. Wifi is slow (sometimes inexistent, had to rely on other free networks available around there). I had an small incident there that made me feel very unhappy. The owner places a decorative pot/ornaments by the staircase. It is a small ROUND staircase, narrow, and without much room to go up and down carrying your luggages. Of course that happened I accidentally broke one vase when bringing my stuff upstairs. I was completely okay paying for it, but I was surprised she decided to charge me 30eur for that. One of the staff tried to tell her that she should consider "sharing" 50:50 the cost of it, as it was not an ideal location to keep a "nice and expensive" piece of "art", and apparently it had happened quite a few times before. She never came to talk in person, all the info I was getting from the staff did not sound that nice. I was completely fine about paying for it. However, the atitute of the owner was what bothered me. Be careful when using the stairs there! ;)

Idyllic watermill
Reviewed By kriaKucuru dzirnavas is a lovingly built and managed nest of hospitality in the middle of Latvia. It has a small guest house and several separate cabins. Guests can swim in a clear pond and relax in green grass under shady trees. Plenty of wildlife right over the doorstep. The town Madona is a 20 min drive.

Reviewed By INielsenPopped in for a coffee in this canteen with a bar. Attentive bar staff and a reasonable coffee for a small town. If one wants a decent coffee - please go to Kebabosta. Mind - Rudzons is not a cafe but a canteen!!! It has a character!!! Good luck to the people working there!!!

Clean but noisy
Reviewed By stevesM2583PY2 nights here with the family. First night early hours wake up call by the market being set up outside the window at 5am. Next morning woke up at 3am by noise in the hotel car park cars coming and going. Shower fell a part after a bodge job previous repair. Plus points....centrally located and easy to park. Breakfast adequate but not sure what will happen if raining outside as no cover....you are not allowed to eat inside due to Covid. Room was OK. TV old and situated at a dangerous level. Room had a wine chiller but not sure it was working. Comfy bed but pillows not. Staff friendly. A kettle in the room would have been useful. There was a hair dryer in bathroom though. Room was spacious and accommodated 2 adults and 2 kids. All in all though despite the outside noise it was an ok stay.

It is indicative of many our regular clients both individuals and recognizable enterprises from Latvia and Europe.

Reviewed By Martins VThe food was great, it was prepared as we asked in an half hour, the personnel was exciting, but mosquitoes were horrible. The hotel is located near the road and I suggest to ask for room with windows opposite to the road.
