The Inn at Charles Town features 153 beautifully appointed guest rooms and suites with fantastic views of the backstretch of the Thoroughbred Racing Track. Reviewed By teresakV843OBFirst thing we noticed was the hotel was separate from the casino. There is a shuttle that runs between the two but we chose to drive as we had our vehicle. The hotel was very nice, clean and had a pretty good continental breakfast. My husband doesn't gamble, so he would take me to the casino and come back and get me when I called. I smoke, and it was nice to have a smoking room for a change. We really had no issues with the hotel or the room. We drove about 3 1/2 hours to get there, which wasn't bad. However about half way home , we discovered that my husband had left a pair of very expensive boots in the closet. We immediately called and asked if they could look for the boots. They put us on hold, looked and found the boots. We asked if they could mail them to us and we would of course pay shipping. They said this was against their policy and we would have to come pick then up. We even asked the desk clerk if she would mail them for a fee plus shipping. She said she would lose her job. So we had to turn around and go back to get the boots. Made us late getting home and super tired. Otherwise, the place was great.

Stink bugs
Reviewed By cobrabryan123My wife and I started our weekend business trip/visit with family for Easter on Friday, April 15,2022 by entering our room (230) to find a stink bug climbing the wall. We didn’t notice any others and brushed it off as we know they can be anywhere. Being woken up in the middle of the night yelling because one was in our bed on her leg was not fun and rather concerning. She was ready to pack up and leave. This morning as we were preparing to check out we found another on our comforter. (Picture attached) Almost more concerning was the response we received from the front desk employee whose response when we voiced our concern was,”yeah that’s kinda what happens here, they’re native to the area and come in the vents”. No apology, no sympathetic reaction. Unfortunately in a business where customer service is so important, I am very disappointed in this stay and response from the staff. This event is something I will certainly take into account when traveling in the future. If there is no concern on the part of the Hampton Inn and Hilton Group about “native bugs” I suggest adding a disclaimer that you may be sharing your room with stink bugs right on your website.

Reviewed By Jonathan MWe spent two nights during our visit to the area and found the location very convenient to Harper's Ferry, Antietam Battlefield, and even Washington DC. Our second floor room was quiet and very clean. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was simple but satisfying. The price point was excellent for our experience. This Days Inn represented the brand very well and we would definitely stay here again.

Reviewed By JayB7783My husband and I stayed here for a weekend, The property is lovely and it has a very friendly vibe, We had one dinner there and it was very good and the 2 included breakfasts were delicious. The service was excellent. The downside for us was that our suite was 1.5 miles away from the Inn in what they called The Farmhouse on very narrow country roads so even if we were inclined to walk it was not safe, The house was very isolated in that there are no other houses within sight. I didn't like being so far away from the Inn and I think this fact should have been disclosed when we made he reservation. We had to get in our car to go to dinner and breakfast. The first night we were the only guests in the Farmhouse but the second night 2 other guests appeared, one after dark. It was unnerving to hear repeated attempts to key in the the front door code not knowing whether it was a guest or someone just trying to get in. We thought the temperature was very chilly but we would have to call the front desk to have it adjusted. And I think that thermostat controlled the whole house. There was no phone so we would have to use our phones if there was a problem or if we needed something. The house had a full size, very nice kitchen but we were only allowed to use one shelf in the fridge. The suite was nice and clean but nothing special.

Very Nice place
Reviewed By superbrinoMy wife and I go up to Charles Town about every 3 months and chose to stay here for the first time. Nice room, very close to Casino/race track , has a nice bar and restaurant on property and a few carry out restaurants next door. Plus its very affordable. The shuttle comes by about every 15/20 minutes as well. Well we are gunna stay here the next time we come here.

Reviewed By 215carmennrthe lady at the desk tried to FIGHT US because she said we didn’t pay for the rooms. we paid 2 months before and they didn’t have the rooms. there was POOP on all of the beds. there was poop in the tub too. The bath room light flickered and was bugs in it , someone pissed in our tub , water smelt funky , toilets were gross. overall disgusting and bad service. never will go again and definitely don’t recommend!
