Unfriendly and unhelpful dump
Reviewed By Stephen MIt is beyond belief that Trip Adviser should rate this place so highly. Our experience was very unpleasant, and I see that most of the favourable reviews are five or more years old. Possibly it was because our visit was in January and the put-upon fellow running the place wanted to hibernate, that we were so badly treated, but we were not the only people in the hotel. For a start, we arrived to find the place unmanned and had to telephone to get someone to let us in. All very well, except that the call went to answerphone. Eventually we got through and some time later a man arrived to open the door. This was something of a relief, as we had been standing in the street for half an hour in sub-zero temperature. We had booked through the Logis de France site, where you give your credit card as a caution rather than to pay in advance, but he had taken full payment because, as he said, that's what they do with Booking.com. However, we had booked including breakfast, which he then told us was not being served, so we would have to wait till the next day for a cash refund. Where do we park the car? in the street. But it's not free parking. Well you'll have to be gone by 9 a.m... But we will want to find a cafe in which to have breakfast. Shrug - your problem. As for the room, it was a bit dingy, but warm, and the bathroom was clean. Maybe It will be better in the summer, but I get the impression that the place is in terminal decline.

Reviewed By suffolklad33The reviews were mixed. Then we looked at the dates of the very poor ones and went with the more recent. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was very comfortable. It was quiet and couldn't really ask for anything more. Parking was in a quiet street. Breakfast was absolutely fine. Very close to the main centre of Vitry so finding a restaurant for dinner was no problem. Would return and recommend.

Great little hotel
Reviewed By TommoswinneyStopped for a night before heading fishing for the week, rooms where large, clean and had air con! Receptionist spoke perfect English and was very helpful. It’s a 5 min walk into to centre of Vitry-le-Francois which has plenty of bars and places to eat! Will stay again!
