Reviewed By Inchman4uMy wife and I were both going to undertake a minor operation at Tynset Hospital on the 24th September and decided to travel to Tynset the day before and as we couldn’t travel on the same day as the operation it meant spending two nights here. What a pleasure it turned out to be. The room was spacious although the bathroom practical it was verk minimal. However, we decided to eat in the hotel’s restaurant which was definitely a good choice. We had the salmon the for starter the reindeer the main course, finished off with the brûlée. The choice of wine was not extensive, but nonetheless very good. The house wine is also good. We didn’t feel particularly well after our operation, but the venison choice on the menu made up for that. The breakfast buffet was also excellent and the fact that you could help yourself to coffee at anytime during your stay, free of charge, was also a very good service. All members of the staff that we came into contact with were very helpful too. Highly recommended Ian

Nice for short stopovers
Reviewed By Espen RCentrally located if you’re driving through Østerdalen and need a place to stop for the night The receptionist we met were nice and friendly and all smiles Decent, spacious cabin with two bedrooms for four people, a large living room and newly upgraded kitchen The beds were good, probably quite new mattresses The cabin was clean (self wash is standard) but the bathroom needs some attention even though it works to purpose

Orkelbogen - the place for courses, conferences, events and experiences. We offer exclusive facilities in pleasant and traditional surroundings, at Fjellgården on Kvikne in Tynset Municipality, furthest north in Østerdalen. At Orkelbogen, we only accept groups that have the farm exclusively for themselves during the entire stay. NEW: Rare chance - book an entire manor house exclusively for yourself this summer! Available weeks 27, 28, 30 and 31. In the summer of 2022, it will be possible to rent the idyllic Orkelbogen as a holiday home on a weekly basis (Monday-Sunday). You get the whole courtyard for yourself, and can choose to rent only the main house (5 double rooms + extra beds, kitchen, living rooms, common area), or several of the buildings - a total of 23 double rooms. Price NOK 50,000 per week (Monday-Sunday) for the Main House including bed linen, towels and final cleaning. It is possible to rent several rooms for a small supplement in the price. The farm is idyllically located - all by itself - by the river Orkla. The yard was built in 2008, but architecturally the era is set to 1870 and the theme is Norwegian folk tales. The farm maintains a high standard. Located high up in the mountains - 736 m.o.h. - there is easy hiking terrain with nice trails that make it affordable for both young and old to get on a mountain hike. Indoor facilities: - 22 double rooms (4 family rooms) - Large kitchen, fully equipped - Dining room with seating for a maximum of 48 people - Fireplace room with 4 sofa groups - Attic room with 2 sofa groups and shared TV Outdoor facilities: - Swimming pool in the river - Tables and benches in the idyllic courtyard - Gapahuker with campfire in own yard - Gas grill for loan Offers in the area (a short drive away): - Sandy beach - Nice fishing lakes - Hotel with open cafe / restaurant - Thai Restaurant - Gas station - Grocery store Welcome to the mountains!

Reviewed By susseline_gammelbynEt perfekt sted for konfirmasjon. Vi fikk det helt slik vi ønsket. Konfirmanten bestemte menyen, som var baconsurret kyllingfilet, og sjokoladefondant med hjemmelaget vaniljeis til dessert. Maten var kjempegod, og menyen anbefales! Mange fine bakgrunner for fotografering, over hele gården. Jaktsimulatoren var også populær, og enkelte hadde vanskelig for å avlutte :) Konfirmant, foreldre og øvrige gjester var svært fornøyde med både sted, mat og service. Alltid blid og imøtekommende betjening, som gjør at du føler deg velkommen fra første stund. Plutselig kommer vi tilbake :) Anbefaler virkelig dette stedet.
