Weeklong stay for a 100 mile race
Reviewed By fkwok555I mistakenly booked the wrong check out date for my race and slowly but surely the staff was able to keep me in my room for almost my entire stay. I had a great room overlooking the front parking spaces, nice bathroom and plenty of storage. I had breakfast daily and was able to borrow a Iphone charger and toothpaste when I forgot to pack them. Made use of the mini refrigerator for my beer. Love being across the street from Applebees and a 5 minute drive from an awesome Italian joint. I made sure I booked the correct dates for 2023.

NO BREAKFAST, no where to walk/potty your dog, rude front desk staff Re: forgot mask
Reviewed By daria91I stayed in room 110. We stayed here because we have family nearby and there’s little to no other options if you have a dog. We had a number of problems - ants in the bathroom (yes in the middle of January), dust on the headboards and ceiling. Lots of noise from outside on the first night of our stay until the wee morning hours. Doors slamming, someone outside screaming on their phone. The second night when we arrived back to our room at 1015pm, someone was parked outside our room inside their car with the car running. They remained there for nearly 2 hours. After that they frequently went between their room and their car running, slamming doors, etc. it was creepy and we felt unsafe. There is no security provided at this hotel. Also this hotel DOES NOT PROVIDE A CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST AS ADVERTISED “due to COVID” - I’m sorry, but providing prepacked food like muffins, yogurt, cereal, milk, bagels, etc. is SAFE FOR COVID, and I believe this hotel is using the COVID excuse to not have to provide breakfast when the prices for the room reflect that to be included. Coffee, hot water, and juice was available - but the second day there was no juice. Even more fun: NJ law doesn't require masks, however I got my head “bit off” by the front desk employee when I forgot to wear one to get coffee our first morning. To the point that she would not stop harassing me the entire time I was pouring my coffee and juice. When my hands were finally free, I tucked my face in my jacket as far up as it would zip so she would shut up. I’ve never seen anyone so rude or upset about someone else not wearing a mask - especially to a paying customer!!! also keep in mind she was about 10 feet away from me the and they entire front desk is covered in plexiglass. I also thought it was a bit strange upon checking in, the same staff member requested all guests to keep the water dripping in their sinks all the time so the pipes don’t freeze. Also the exterior doors don’t have proper seals. You can easily see the light from outside coming under the door and freezing cold air blowing in all the seams of the door, besides the hinge side. I can imagine in the summer bugs would easily come in the room. The towels provided for bathing are a joke. They are so small they would only fit a 12 year old, maybe. I am an average (size 14) woman, and could not wrap the towel around me. If this is a quick one night stop for a single person in the middle of winter, you might be ok. Linens and bathroom (besides ants) were clean. But I was with my mother; and I would never stay here again. I don’t think this is on par for the price paid $81 a night.

The staff is the glue that holds this place together
Reviewed By turbojimmyWe stayed here for 8 nights while our local home was being renovated. It's in a convenient location, but that's pretty much where the positives stop. The description says "recently renovated". Not sure what was renovated recently, or how they're defining "recently" but the place is very dated from furnishings to appliances. We were in a 2-bedroom suite with a fireplace. The fireplace was nice because the heat didn't work a lot of the time. 3 of the 4 door handles in the suite were broken. Cabinets didn't close right, floors were filthy and there was a thick coating of dust on top of door trim and wall hangings. You could barely see out the windows. The couch sagged so bad in the middle that we put extra cushions and pillows on it to level it out. I could go on and on, but basically the rooms are maintained in a manner that keeps them at the very minimum of the definition of "functional". The "mixers" Monday through Wednesday are really a food and beer grab by guests and staff. There's not really any mixing, but we were okay with that. Why 3 stars? Two reasons. One is they take pets. We needed a place to stay with our cats. Two is that the staff is phenomenal. Very friendly, attentive and caring. If not for them this place would fold up in a heartbeat. Oh maybe a third reason - breakfast is awesome (also thanks to the staff).

Gross hotel
Reviewed By Wonderwoman614This hotel was like checking into the Shining motel. It smelled like mildew and was very outdated. Dingy lighting in the rooms. I hated sleeping there, but didn't have a choice. I had problems at check in. The front desk "manager" Ms. Drake was very rude: kept speaking over me regarding a discrepancy with my booking since it was done through a third party. I will NEVER stay here again. I'd rather sleep in my car!

Uncomfortable Motel Room
Reviewed By Ceegull2014Although I had a key to the door there as a huge hold where the original bolt lock was....anyone could have stuck something inside of that hole and turned the handle or unlocked the bolt above the hole. The Air Conditioner worked but was across to the back of the room, outside of the bathroom so it took a long time to cool the room down and the slats were broken on the A/C and was very dusty inside. No safety handle inside of the shower which I feel is important not only for older people like myself but anyone climbing inside of the shower. No extra blanket and the pillows were so uncomfortable was was the bed...like a board! No sleep due to the hardness of the so-called mattress! Odor was very musty!
