Excellent lunch
Reviewed By Jean jWe had an excellent mid-week lunch here. Did not go for the menu du jour because we fancied the plate of the day on the normal menu - & delicious it was too! Finished off with an enormous Vacherin Cevenole. From what we could see the menu du jour looked equally good. Staff all friendly & helpful.

Magic place in the Cevennes
Reviewed By zwackelmann67Our stay at the „Chambres d‘Hôtes des Gens Heureux“ really exceeded our expectations! We were greeted with a warm welcome by the hosts Jolanda and Pieter. Throughout our stay, they were always very attentive and they really do everything to make you feel comfortable and feel at home. They also had great recommendations for things to do in the area, as the Chambres d‘Hôtes is set in an excellent location to explore the region: Montpellier, Nîmes, the Cevennes, the Mediterranean Sea or neighbouring villages! The rooms have been tastefully renovated by the hosts themselves with great attention to detail: Very comfortable mattresses, open light rooms and modern bathrooms. Each morning, we had a wonderful breakfast on the terrace of the garden, including fruit salad or muesli and a changing variety of little pastries or delicious home-baked cakes… There are also cutlery and plates at the guests’ disposal for lunch and a fridge to keep a few necessities. You can eat at the picnic table in the big garden which also has lots of other seating possibilities, “chaises relax“ under sunshades or the shade of the trees and even a hammock… Of course not to forget the magnificent little pool with no chlorine taste at all but instead slightly salty water to keep it fresh. We are not prone to exaggeration but this place definitely deserves a 10/10!!

Reviewed By jochurstWith absolute passion, this bed and breakfast is operated by the owners entirely by themselves. It definetely brightens up the - in my opinion -otherwise not so interesting area but if you end up in the region of Garde, this is the place to stay. Very reasonably priced, very clean and very welcome in its presentation. Good breakfast, nice pool very big and cosy rooms with a (working?) fireplace this hotel is situated right in the center of the village with some reasonable and good restaurants nearby. Its a good place to stay if you head out to explore the area. I have taken so many photos of this B&B I cannot possibly post them all here.

45' From Nimes, Uzès and Montpellier, this authentic 18th century demeure has a great atmosphere: piano, fire place, private terraces covered of flowers where you may have breakfast and incredible organic diners. Corine's jams are delicious. This is a perfect and quiet place to visit the Occitanie region from Mount Aigoual (1567m) to the mediterranean cost. The three comfortable and charming large bedrooms with private bath are decorated with Corine's paintings and herbaria. Flower painting on glass and wood and artist paper workshops are proposed as well botanical and gastronomic tours in the Parc National des Cevennes, UNESCO world heritage. You may swim in the rivers nearby, enjoy the waterfalls, shop at the farmers market twice a week, visit the Silk Museum and walk in the garrigue picking up aromatic herbs, buy fantastic wines to bring home. A wonderful journey to a southern "art de vivre".

Reviewed By gabriellahotzCorinne received us with a very open heart. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. The house and the garden are beautiful and very tastefully. We spent a wonderful evening, sharing beautiful conversations at the table together with two other guests. We would come back anytime.

Reviewed By DCBOYDLovely host. Nicely appointed rooms. Swimming pool was a bonus. Host was friendly and helpful. Only disappointment was the meagre breakfast. Would have been nice to have had fresh fruit and yoghurt in addition to bread and croissants
