Beautiful view on the lake
Reviewed By Luici18We stayed on night at the hotel. It is located at the lake and the rooms have a beautiful view on the lake. The reception personnel was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and functional. Breakfast was good. Overall, I can very much recommend the hotel.

A very good 3* hotel
Reviewed By barryjfWe had a really pleasant stay at this hotel on our trip around Eastern France. Although only 3*, it was better than some of the 4* places we also stayed at. Rooms are somewhat basic but comfortable (could maybe do with a shower curtain to stop floor getting wet). It’s worth getting a balcony room to enjoy the stunning views and some evening sun! It was warm and there is no a/c, but it was possible to sleep with the balcony doors open and we had a good sleep. The Restaurant du Fromage just next door is great (it featured on Rick Stein’s programme!), and breakfast the next morning in the main hotel restaurant was well organized and good standard. Would recommend this hotel and location for a short stay, and we would return if in the area again.

Unprofessional and arrogant
Reviewed By SponiSeveral weeks ago, we reserved 2 nights at the Hotel Le Bon Accueil with it's Michelin 1 Star Restaurant. At the beginning the hotel was fully booked but then an electronic email came and stated they had a room for the 2 nights. When we arrived and were shown our room and I asked if they had booked the restaurant? The answer in an unfriendly tone from an employee was NO, they were completely filled up in the restaurant! We were then "passed" on to the wife of the owner. She (in the same tone as the employee) told us in an arrogant manner that we had not booked the restaurant! By the way on the first reservation in the electronic system the restaurant was booked but somehow got lost in the second booking! Why would somebody travel several hundred kilometers and not want to eat at the Michelin 1 Star Restaurant? The reaction of the owners wife was extremely unfriendly and in an unprofessional tone. But maybe they do not need customers! We will never go there again.

Reviewed By Eli GThe hotel looks nice and wonderfuly situated over the lake However, the service was limited, and the rooms, although new, are not well deigned Moreover, the price was twice than the equivalent places and mybe that was the reason that we were the only guests in a night when all rooms in metabief were taken

Do not stay here
Reviewed By anonlondonerabroadOur littlest lost the key to the room. This was very unfortunate, but I refuse to believe that this is the only time such an event has occurred. Huge drama, we were first told that the room had to remain unlocked for the whole day as there was no spare key (bear in mind there is also no front desk so anyone can walk in off the street, additionally there is no safe in the room). Later in the evening, they found to their surprise that the cleaner had a key. We were given that key but told we had to pay for the lock to be changed. Room is fine but exceedingly hot and there are no blinds on one window so kids were woken by the dawn. To put this into perspective, I am sure there are ruder staff at hotels. Nevertheless, it was surprising.

Good hotel
Reviewed By Raphael CWe spent a night in this hotel. The room was clean, a little bit old fashionned but still charming. There is enough space and we had to good surprise to have an access on on a terrace with a view on the lake. (Lac Saint Point) I was a bit worried about the noise. In the room that we had, easy to hear the cars driving on a road close to the hotel (even if it was the other side of the hotel !) and easy to hear... the neigboors of the room next to ours ! So I did ask for earplugs... that they do not have. But finally, I did spend a good night, no annoying noise. It was calm. The employees are very sympathic. Several hotels are working together, including the one of La Poste. So, we had our breakfast... less than 100meters aways, at the hotel Le Lac. The price of the room was about 60€, which is fair. The price of the breakfast was rather expensive : 12€, but it was a veeery good one, a lot of quality products served in a nice place, with a nice view on the lake ! Overall we did spend a good week end in Malbuisson and its surroudnings thanks to the hotel La Poste. The little point to improve : wait at the reception of the hotel La Poste is useless, because we needed to go the reception of the hotel Le Lac, to have our keys... There might be an indication written somewhere ... a kind of sign to give the information to the customers. We did appreciate the fact to be able to leave the hotel at 11h30 (latest our for the check out this day), so we had a relax morning before to hit the road again. Another good point to notice : the wi-fi is good.
