Reviewed By torrandy69Don't be put off by its "touristy" name or the location (allegedly in an "industrial" area on the outskirts of Maienberg) - this hotel is everything you could possibly wish for as a base for a few days' exploration of this beautiful region of Switzerland. Only minutes by car from both the spa resort of Bad Ragaz and the idyllic wine-producing villages of the "Bündner Herrschaft", the hotel is modern, spotlessly clean and quiet, the rooms comfortable with beautiful mountain views, and it offers a good breakfast and a limited but excellent range of evening "Bistro" meals on-site - including one of the best pizzas I've had outside Italy. The staff, too, are both friendly and helpful. I happened to secure a very favourable "best price" deal via their website, but even at their normal tariff I'll definitely be back. (I have, incidentally, lived and travelled in Switzerland for the past 50 years, and so have a pretty good idea of what you can expect for quality and value-for-money in this very high-priced country).

Great food in a very nice location !
Reviewed By George KThis restaurant has a large covered terrace with an amazing view! The menu is quite varied and includes mostly Swiss cuisine, which is very tasty ! The pork schnitzel with cream and mushroom sauce is very delicious !

Nice Hotel in the Beautiful Surrounding
Reviewed By YuvaKantaThe B&B is very close to the railway station and situated in the beautiful area, very quiet but not far from Chur but much cheaper. We had to inform staff of our arrival time, breakfast time as there won't be staff stand-by 24hour at the hotel. Breakfast was quite good with reasonable price. The city centre was about 10 minutes walk from the hotel with 1 supermarket and other shops. The room was quite big with standard amenities. There were not many tourists in the area and the hotel restaurant was close so we had to go to the supermarket or had dinner in Chur before coming back to the hotel.

Good location and nice hospitality
Reviewed By Stil_SchaapIt's a small B&B. We stayed one triple room, that was lovely room with a small balcony. Their shared bathroom is always clean and useful. Breakfast is so so, but enough for us. We really enjoyed to stay there.

Reviewed By carohuerWe booked a double room in this hotel and were looking forward to staying here in the middle of nowhere as it looked quite inviting as we had driven past before. Set on the busy main road which leads from Maienfeld into Liechtenstein, which tends to encourage the fast Liechtenstein drivers to put their foot on the pedal of thier flashy cars or motorbikes(we discovered), it wasn't quite as idyllic as we had hoped. A bit run down actually. Obviously very popular for weddings (there is a chapel at the back of the hotel). We were not tempted to eat dinner there actually. When we got back from an event in Balzers, we fancied a drink in the bar and there wasn't much going on in there apart from a few inebriated locals. Breakfast was a nice surprise: the standard Swiss thing: yoghurt, cereal, fresh hams, cheeses (the mature one from the neighbouring farmer is outstanding) and fresh bread including zopf (local brioche) and croissants. It was altogether better than we thought (hence my title).

Reviewed By Go05681637859Wir waren vor 2 Jahren hier Mittag essen und es war gut. Ich nehme an der Besitzer hat gewechselt. Vor kurzer Zeit waren wir wieder hier zum Mittag essen. Mir fehlen die Worte: -Preis Leistung stimmt nicht -Küche und Service miserabel -Schade ums Geld da kocht man besser selbst oder bestellt sich ein Kebab!!!!
