We believe in the future of sustainable tourism. In the past couple of years we have gradually introduced changes to our accommodation units and to our business processes to make sure we decrease our environmental impact.​ In 2020 we partnered with our friends from the Dalmatia Green project who help us further improve our processes and services in accordance with their certification standards for an eco friendly accommodation in Dalmatia. Our property dates from a couple of centuries ago. The architectural plasticity of the ground floor points back to the 16th century when the house was initially erected as a one story building. Originally it had been a family house. Later in time an additional smaller building emerged that was used as a work space and for housing of farm animals. Today's first floor was built in the beginning of the 20th century. We reconstructed the complete property by 2005, building additional levels and areas in accordance with our new concept. During the reconstruction process we used entirely traditional materials and old stone blocks, while also applying the old manual technology of construction on rocks and with stone blocks. We make sure we use natural fabrics such as cotton and linen, that are healthy and create an accommodating natural home-like atmosphere. The indoor and the outdoor furniture is also mostly from natural materials. we are excited to announce that we are a chemical free property. We purchase and produce our own cleaners and disinfectants that are based on essential oils and on fruit acids. Our tests proved that they are healthier and more efficient in removing dirt and bacteria compared with the variety of chemical cleaners that are offered in the stores.
