Une très bonne étape en randonnée
Reviewed By bernardp466Une très bel hôtel restaurant dans ce village du vivarais pittoresque. Tout est neuf et impeccable et les chambres côté vallée ont une vue superbe. Les chambres et leur salle de bain sont petites, même si tout est fonctionnel. Nous avons apprécié la piscine en cette chaude journée de mai et avons pu y attendre la mise à disposition de notre chambre. Un petit regret: il serait plus agréable de pouvoir disposer des chambres à partir de 16h. Restaurant avec une agréable terrasse ; quelques plats régionaux et salades ou tartes fines diverses. Un plus pour les profiteroles !!! Une très bonne étape en somme !

Accueil charmant et pleins de bons conseils pour profiter de la région (les méchancetés dites au sujet de la propriétaire dans certains avis : c'est faux! Elle se charge de veiller au bien-être de tous, et cela passe aussi par le respect des règles du gîte!) La piscine, atypique, est vraiment top et loin de la route, avec le petit parc bien entretenu et équipé (balançoires, chaises longues...) Pour le gîte "la Frigoule" : très bien équipé, propre, et spacieux pour 4 ! Nous conseillons cette maison pour la localisation au cœur de tout et la bonne humeur de la patronne et de sa famille !

Disappointed after visiting this place under new management
Reviewed By 26FoodieLovely hotel that we know from few years back…unfortunately after ownership/management change nothing remained the same. We traveled with another couple/friends who made the rooms reservation over the phone. Until the end of our stay (3 nights) and ultimately invoicing for our room, no one even asked our first or last name and so was an I voice handed to us - with our friends names. Rarely seen such weak customer service of a small établissement like this one… Rooms were clean but the condition of (at least our) bathroom saw better times, meaning outdated, sink’s faucet was loose, tiles in the corners in a poor condition. shower glass wall leaking water while taking a shower. I made some pictures but decided not to publish them as this could kill their remaining business. We were truly disappointed as our previous experiences were always flawless including kind care we received from the previous owners… This time it was definitely clear to see that the present management isn’t there because they love what they do and because they care for the customers, just like they would like to be cared for if they would be guests in any hotel…sad. Nevertheless the location, accessibility and the proximity to Mount Ventoux (we’re cyclists) are fantastic.

A perfect Provence holiday
Reviewed By Ann CLa Verriere is a dreamy place. We visited at a perfect time inMid-October when the sun is slanting over the vines, the trees are turning gold, the grape harvest is coming in and the garden is still full of flowers and autumn vegetables. The fully restored ancient villa is comfortable and welcoming with beautifully decorated and luxurious rooms and suites surrounded by gardens and a stunning “infinity” pool. Our service from Gregory and Tibault was personal and friendly and they ensured every detail was perfect and our every need was met. The dining room in a great vaulted stone hall serves a sumptuous breakfast and dinner “table d’hôte” only if reserved. You really should reserve as driving around local villages at night is daunting and La Verriere provides a beautifully presented and delicious 3 course meal from local produce. The chef’s choice for us included fresh organic veggies from the garden and local meats and fish. Of course we also enjoyed the prize-winning Chene Bleu wine from their own vineyard with helpful pairing suggestions and tasting notes. We had a wonderful wine tour and tasting which is must. The vineyard is fully restored from ancient vines in a UNESCO “biosphere “ with a fully modern winery and Adrian was very knowledgeable. we had a crash course in winemaking. Otherwise what to do around LaVerriere except stroll around the gardens, visit the tiny village of Crestet, hike in the surrounding forests, and sun or swim at the pool. We didn’t want to leave. Perfect!
