Reviewed By TheodoreQDuckIt is hard to fault this hotel for anything. Rooms and amenities are very nice, clean, and quiet. Housekeeping was great. Reception was friendly and always helpful. Hotel is a 5-10 minute walk to most restaurants and bars. We would definitely stay here again.

Reviewed By AxPhBeOn pictures the hotel look reasonably nice. However there are many shortcomings. - The room was described as 'large'. In fact it was much smaller than the promised 20 square metres. But the terras was bigger than the room. - The airconditioning was very very noisy. Even when shut of, there was a constant whistling noise. - the safety deposit box had not been attached to the wall. - they had to replace the main lighting during our stay. - breakfast was basic (horrible coffee) and served in a dark room in the back. The ham was not cooled. - the bathroom was small and very basic. - I was also frustrated with the attitude of the manager when I announced that we had a nest of ants in the room. She made it very clear that it was our fault for bringing food into the room. - The double bed was very small which made it difficult to sleep. Positive : + view from the room + parking along a cliff + attitude of the staff

It’s a 2 stars and honestly the apartments (specially those without balcony) are very sleazy with a ( little ) window on a very beatiful..wall!! Positive note : the hotel is very cleaned with everyday towel changing! Morning staff is polite. Morning, i say !! Fabiana.

Problem with WiFi and ac quickly and successfully resolved. 800 m to nearest sandy, clean beach. Calvi was excellent and we spent Sunday evening in a restaurant A Stella. We had a lovely meal and loved the Corsican singing. We ate at the chambre on Monday night and it was excellent. Can recommend this place

Very Nice Place
Reviewed By Navigator78We were in Calvì during August 2014 and we had small apartment in Residence Saint Francois. It is a very nice place. We were at the ground floor so we had a big terrace were we could both stay in the sunshine and have lunch and dinner. The apartment was very clean and even if it was only one room it was quite big. There were only two small problems: the residence hasn’t a big parking area and the residence address wasn’t present on our sat nav. However, in the end the place is clean and very near to Calvì center so it is a good place to spend some weeks in Corsica.

Salt filtered swimming pool heated April to November and jacuzzi® all year around Description On the first floor with private entrance ; 4 rooms in all: 3 for 2/3 and 1 for 2 of which 2 rooms which can be rented together as a Suite for 4/5 persons, all air conditioned, HD SAT TV- Grundig/DVD, free Wifi which covers rooms and whole property including hydro-balneo space, safe, patio/salon with leather and wrought iron or cane furniture, offering a panoramic view of the sea, mountains and Citadelle. Fully equipped bathrooms (of which 2 are ensuite with tub/shower) including toilet, towel dryer/heater and hair dryer. Mini bar in entrance and at pool house. Classic breakfast included , anglo-saxon/Corsican cold cuts with supplement. Meals on request

Reviewed By EmH186299This is a strange review because we never actually made it to stay! We booked two rooms in summer 2019 only for a health issue to require us to cancel. The owner, the understanding Bleigh, offered a refund or postpone to 2020. The place looks so fab we choose the latter but you can guess what happened then- covid struck! But the holiday remained possible due to france being on the green list of countries to visit so we thought we were good - only for easyjet to switch our flight to Figari airport in the south (some 5 hours away). Furthermore there were zero hire cars available because the firms had effectively shut up shop for the summer because of covid. But then came Bleigh to the rescue!! She rang all the local hire firms directly for us and used her language skills and charm to get us the last free car on the island. Home and dry ? Not quite ...the hire firm then said the car was only available from day 2 of our holiday! So the super-fixer Bleigh arranged for her gardener to drive the 10 hour round trip to pick us up!! Home and dry then?.. of course not! Two days before we were due to fly the travel restrictions returned and we couldn’t go anyway! Needless to say Bleigh helped us get our car hire refunded and bumped us on to 2021. And here we are in 2021, things were less than certain with France on the amber list. Furthermore ours kids, who would have been 13 in 2019 are now 15 going on 21, meaning that a quiet holiday in a beautiful location is not such a good fit for their energetic and independent needs. So at this point, after all the work, the saintly Bleigh offers us a refund!!! Having lost loads on flights I am well aware that getting refunds in such circumstances is discretionary which is why Bleigh’s kindness on top of her helpfulness was truly touching. The fact remains that the Manor looks like a heavenly retreat, and I look forward to going there with my wife when the chicks have flown the nest and we are holidaying as a couple... and when I do I look forward to another five star review, which will be a rating for the place itself (as opposed to this review which is in fact a 5 stars review for Saint Bleigh!!) Thank you Bleigh and looking forward to meeting you in person someday!
