Pools

They have a pool that is only for adults..which is fine but this was not mentioned online nor was it mentioned at check in. Could not go in pool with my 16 yr old bc he was not old enough to go on the one side. They told him he had to go with little kids. Had I known this, probably would not have booked! Couldn’t even enjoy my time!

What happened to this nice resort?

We were so disappointed in the condition of the River Course. No drink cart came around. The condition of the course, the yards, ponds, homes had deteriorated since our last corporate visit in 2019. So sad to see the decline.

This was my third time staying here. They are remodeling the units and the updates are very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. If you can do steps get an upstairs unit. We had two kids who ran around upstairs and made the chandelier shake

Our AC broke so this was a lost minute weekend trip so that we and our dog cour stay cool. We requested and were granted a late checkout (noon) but were never able to take advantage of it. The cleaning staff kept knocking on the door and at 11:20 the front desk called us and told us we had to leave. So we got our. I will stay elsewhere in the future.

Great place for kids

We stayed here over the memorial holiday weekend with my 3 yo toddler. Check-in was delayed by about an hour but it was a busy weekend and we waited to get a room with the patio that is not obstructed by the ongoing renovations. I found the app to be really a great way to communicate with hotel staff. They were very responsive to any questions or needs. My son loved the indoor and outdoor water park. He also very much enjoyed all the kids activities and getting a pair of wolf ears. He saw the kids doing the magic quest and was enthralled. We got him the basic wand and it was activated to do the mini magi mode which was perfect as he loved going through the hotel and doing “magic” where the items were interactive. The room was spacious and my son really liked the wolf den bunk bed room. It’s great that there is a fridge. The pull out sofa couch is not very comfortable and the biggest issue is the WIFI is terrible, essentially non-functional and is the main reason for 4 stars. I feel that this is the biggest issue management has to work on. Especially when you promote use of an app to communicate and order food etc. Otherwise, the staff were all great. You have to request any room service or fresh linens but this is super easy through the app. We did the breakfast package which includes the breakfast buffet and is convenient to not have to go somewhere else to find breakfast. My 3 yo son was young enough to eat for free which is great. There is a Dunkin’ Donuts for those who want something small or just coffee. We did order the family pizza meal for dinner which came with a lot of food and a 2L soda for a reasonable price and it was pretty good. Otherwise there is a great BBQ place just down the road and the hotel location is very convenient to local restaurants, colonial Williamsburg, and Busch gardens. We had a fun time and my son already wants to go back.
