Great vacation spot
Reviewed By tylergT158TLMy husband, fur baby and myself stayed three nights and it was amazing. We were greeted by professional, friendly front desk staff. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. I especially enjoyed the large canvas photos of the USS Lexington and the Marina in our room. The breakfast on the 11th floor was top notch! It was not only delicious but operated by a class act crew. Everything was on point each morning. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel over any restaurant we ate at for dinner. We're already looking forward to next year!

Poor customer service
Reviewed By PutztxWe booked our visit on Hotels.com we reserved a bay view king size bed. This was our 3rd visit our son goes to college there so we visit often. Our first visit we left a small bag behind we called the hotel immediately when arriving to houston they said the bag was not found. The second visit we were giving a handicap room the bench and shower had brown stains and we didn’t not use the shower. Checking for this visit we specifically told the check in person Alize to please not give us a handicap room because we would not be able to shower. We checked in went upstairs the first thing we noticed was a handicap placard we went in and right away saw the handicap shower and bench then we looked out of the window and we had a rooftop view with a glimpse of the bay. I immediately went down stairs again I spoke with Alize and asked if it was joke she gave us a handicap room? She said she could move us to a parking lot view I reminded her we reserved bay view. She said since I did not book directly with the hotel I was only guaranteed a king size bed. I asked for a manager speaking with the manager she said all bay views where booked and if wanted a specific room I should book directly thru them. We book via Hotels.com because we are part of the loyalty program and have status with several perks. This hotel is at a great location the bar area is fun but it’s older and not well kept we were willing to overlook the overall appearance and up keep since it was directly on the bay and located close to Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Very disappointed with the customer service

Reviewed By X4803JBjeffreymThis was an awful property. NO ROOM SERVICE UNLESS REQUESTED. No HDMI port on TV. No complimentary breakfast. Even though it is on the beach the location is AWFUL! Tremendous freeway construction all around. Difficult access. Must cross over on a bridge to get to the property. Changing from a Radisson to Hilton Doubletree management. EXPENSIVE!

Summer cousin getaway
Reviewed By cynthianW7797WCArrived on a Wednesday, Rachel was at the front desk. She was so sweet, very accommodating making sure that we had just the right room. My cousin she's semi handicapped so we can't do stairs she helped us get all our things in a room which was outstanding. The room had plenty of space, frigerator, microwave, bathroom was very nice. I can also say that the people at the front desk was amazingly friendly. My cousin had breakfast every morning, she thought everything was good. The pool is huge, more than enough space for all the people that were visiting. The room has plenty of space for our 5 day stay. Housekeeping was very nice making sure we had extra towets. There's a nice walk out to the beach. Definitely be a place that we would stay again thank you for making sure we had a great visit.

Hello, and welcome to our relaxing island resort, with comfortable rooms and all the amenities necessary for a great vacation. Our hotel features restaurant and indoor and Outdoor bar, Live Music on most weekends, beach entry style Swimming Pool, Hot tub, Conveniently located beach chair and canopy rentals, fine white sand beach relaxation with towels and umbrellas. Needs a lot of work
Reviewed By MaurersThe only reason this didn’t get 0 stars was the staff! They were training 2 new people, everyone was so nice and very helpful! We asked to be checked in early and they were able to accommodate us, which was super helpful! Now to the not so good. Elevators were sketchy at best, if you stay in 2nd floor you have to push the up button even if your going down, and they made odd sounds and felt like they were just not stable. Our balcony door didn’t lock at all, it looked liked they salvaged doors from before when it was hit by hurricane. Our room door didn’t have a secondary lock to keep anyone from just coming in, that’s got a key, and it looked like someone had tried to pry door open previously. Just didn’t feel secure…and the missing secondary lock is a Texas Law, so not sure how they’re getting away with that! Tub did not have a stopper, so it was impossible to give the kids a bath. Bathroom door had no lock, ice machine was not working, it gave me a handful of ice. Bed was comfortable, inside room was cool a/c worked great! We didn’t try the restaurant or bar. Hotel still has quite a bit of construction going on. I felt very mislead by their website.
