Reviewed By sfogirlThe Butterfly Inn is soooo much nicer than the pictures on TA! It's immaculate. Large rooms with cathedral ceilings. The fridge and freezer work very well. Looks like they just painted everything . The pool is cheery with lots of clean chairs. the staff is very, very friendly and helpful. Yes! Helpful (no eye rolling and sighing..... genuinely nice people) - - what a change from most places of late. Very close to everything incl, hiking, golf, restaurants, Monterey, back road to Carmel, etc..... Book here! Stay here!

Nice quiet location

If you like peaceful location this works.you just can't walk to a restaurant or anything else. There is no elevator also. I can deal with driving to dinner. Elevator another story. There was a charging station fo our EV. But all in all a very nice little hotel.

Reviewed By 476fayewThe property is in a very good location if you plan to visit the Lovers Point and the 17-mile drive. The neighborhood is quite and Peaceful; the staff were welcoming, friendly, and went extra mile to make sure their guests had everything they needed. Prices are reasonable, and rooms are very clean. The only suggestion I would make is to book a king size room if you are traveling with your partner or one more person. We booked a queen size and we felt we could use a bit more space. But it worked out for an overnight stay, not big deal at all. Highly recommend this property if you are visiting the area!

The Lovers Point Inn is located on the coast of historic Pacific Grove, California. Just moments from the beach, we are centrally located between Monterey and Pebble Beach. Within a mile is Cannery Row and the famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, as well as many choices for fine dining, shopping, and other family experiences. We have a variety of one and two bed rooms, many with ocean views. A perfect place for a getaway for the entire family!

Reviewed By whoopdingPrior to coming I contacted the hotel about the rooms but they didn’t respond which should’ve been a sign as on arrival the reception was closed until 830pm! I appreciate there are always circumstances beyond their control but not to contact me wasn’t good as we had all of our valuables in the car for several hours. Also despite booking the hotel for breakfast it stated on piece of handwritten paper in the door that there was no breakfast being served. The room itself was ok but basic. The icing on the cake was that road construction teams were working directly on the main road before 7am. It’s now 730 and it sounds like a building site. Again this could’ve been passed on & i’d have booked elsewhere You get what you pay for but a basic level of communication costs nothing.

Reviewed By MLAbugOur stay was a quick visit to the area. The property sits right on Lighthouse which was a few minutes away from downtown Monterey. The room itself was tidy, clean and met our needs for the night. We had an updated room and bathroom! The bed and side tables seemed up to date with plugs on the table lamp for our phones. The room came with a microwave and fridge as well as an office table. The bathroom was updated and large! The property served a simple breakfast inside the office. Waffles, packaged danish, yogurt, fruits and bead. Milk, oJ and coffee were also served. We sat outside and ate our breakfast! Not bad for a quick getaway!
