Reviewed By Wiggins1953We can honestly say that this was the best B&B we have ever stayed in! We were in the 'Yellow' room which had a comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe space, a settee and was very quiet. No television which was bliss. There was also a family room with a log fire and tea & coffee making facilities. We also liked the fact that they put some garden chairs out for us so we could enjoy the view with a relaxing cup of tea at the end of our exertions. Our hosts were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable on the area, the walks and restaurants and even provided little easy to read plans so we wouldn't get lost on the volcanoes. The breakfast was superb because apart form the crusty bread, orange juice and fruit, everything was bio and home-made so we had a selection of jams, yogurt, the local cheese and every morning a different cake to try. Covid wise we noticed how all precaution were taken with hand gel in the room and in the dining room, a meticulous cleaning routine and although we did not wear masks in the house we all practiced social distancing.

The dining room was very attractive and contained a conspicuous and amusing sculpture of a young lady wrestling with her clothes in the wind. The food was very good. A glass of champagne before the meal came at half the price one finds elsewhere. The bar also provides decent cocktails at reasoable prices · The weather was hot and, therefore, the circulation system for the air (no A/C) in the hotel was very useful. However, in the night the sound was irritating. Closing the window helped.

Reviewed By IntlxpatrLes Remparts is a little out of the way, but worth it. As soon as we arrived, we began to hear the tinkling of cow bells, which was absolutely delightful. We love walking the old streets. looking at the slate roofs, the tiny gardens inside the old city walls, the old buildings and towers. We love seeing how many of the roofs have gardens on them. We met several people there to hike in the volcanic area and nearby mountains. We also loved that they had a hotel cat, very relaxed with guests. Breakfast was a little odd, all self-serve.

Reviewed By LolloreserI would have loved to give this place 4 or even 5 stars. The rooms are simple but spacious, we stayed two adults with two kids and it was very comfortable. The pool, breakfast and the hotel location is great. But they really need to shape things up. Staff is friendly but not trained. Two young guys try to do everything - reception, cleaning, breakfast, pool, etc etc. They just can’t do it all. Room was not clean. Dust is one things (but should not be there) but bugs are really really not ok. We had to ask for towels, toilet paper, basic stuff. It just didn’t feel professional. I really hope they get things together because the place has potential. But they have some work getting there.
