Small windows, tiny in wall cooling unit, one power plug for entire room, mismatched pillows of uncertain history. Dry wall patches and old mismatched and dinged up furniture. A metal stool is the only chair in the room. For a single woman traveler it’s unnerving that it’s a physical key which could easily be copied. I do think it’s clean which is a plus. The breakfast and dinner room are actually quite nice although both did not eat in them. Staff does not speak English and there are no elevators to reach the second floor rooms. All in all it’s a “hard pass,” and I’d look elsewhere for more than a nights stay.

Reviewed By H75travelStayed here as part of an organised trip and was underwhelmed by the hotel and the whole experience. The hotel is uninspirational and lacks character. The room itself was fine - large and clean but really, really hot, which made sleeping hard.The restaurant staff didn't have great command of English and didn't understand the concept of vegetarianism. A friend asked for a vegetarian meal and was then offered fish, before being offered a salad. Breakfast was better with a quite extensive selection. Staff did seem friendly. But overall, nothing special, but nothing bad.

Reviewed By JC290394Don’t bother wasting your time. It’s horrible. Smells and sooo gloomy. Booked for 2 nights. Didn’t bother staying one. No English speaking. Horrible decor Went to a place 30 mins away. Only £20 more and amazing. Coffee in room and relaxing.

Reviewed By ji_818Staying at Le Jardin des Erables was a great experience. Maryla and Gilles are very nice people, they are happy to handle everything. Their house is beautiful and nicely decorated, and all surrounded by Maryla´s amazing garden... Great breakfast with fresh pastries, fruit and homemade products.

Great value for money
Reviewed By DorsetWhiteLooks a little run down from outside. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, the room was quiet. It had a large secure car park, which closed at 10, but a code was given to enterAll the basics that are needed. The management were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. It was just a 30 minute walk into Vernon, alongside the river. We stayed here for a trip to Giverny, and were more than happy with the hotel. I recommend this hotel. It's excellent when you take into account the price. Don't be put off by its' 2 star rating
