Reviewed By nielsen97Completely horrendous experience.. the food was terrible, and there were flies everywhere (also in the food). the rooms stank like ****, and there’s no power outlets near the bed. The facade looks like an awful motel in a small American city. Save the money, and use it on something you would enjoy instead. Absolutely not worth the money

Reviewed By MartaSPhilippeNice little B&B with only two rooms. We took the apartment, as it says it accommodates up to four people, it does but in very cramped conditions. The apartment is very cute but it is only for two people. The bathroom is beyond tiny, there is no space for anything except a toothbrush. We stayed for four nights, and there was not cleaning service. I know that is how B&B are, but still the doors open directly to a garden and to a stairs that are not very clean, so the apartment floor was very dirty very quickly, and it just uncomfortable to be like that for four days. Greg was nice, left us alone and in peace, we only sow him two times. If you have business in Castelnau it is a nice place to stay. But there is no much in the area, fortunately the light train stop is 10 minute walking and it goes directly to downtown Montpellier.

Sad to see what this place has become

I went to the Domaine on number of occasions and though it is rare for me to return to places, Verchant was one I loved and enjoyed every time until this stay. This amazing exclusive place in the past turned into a mass customer experience where client isn’t important any longer, what counts is how many guests you get in (and all the current construction work shows it will get even worse) Certainly the beauty of the domain and how it’s positioned now will attract new clients who enjoy lounge ambiance (without a service ) or people who stay there for one night while they transfer to another places ( many) but this is no longer standard of Relais Chateaux. Place is noisy, impersonal, good for seminars or big parties but not for a stay one gets resourced. The worse, the restaurant La Plage. Overall, service is totally incompetent and unprofessional . Guests are waiting for 40 mins before someone even comes. Guests were without forks and knifes and when staff were called after about 5 mins waiting with warm food, they were given fork from a neighboring table that was used before by people who decided to change their table ! Other guests were seated at the same table (used) with napkins not changed ( clearly visible they were used before!) and obviously no forks and knifes… Bottle of wine proposed to a wrong table where the gentlemen was embarrassed not to get one, spoons for dessert dressed for main course, etc etc. I have not seen such treatment in most simple restaurant…What to say more? Not much, just that I am sad to have lost a place that used to be truly special. All the best.

L'accueil de Beatrice a été très chaleureux, on sent que notre hôte est "aux petits soins". Le studio est très joliment décoré et très confortable. Le petit dejeuner est copieux, rien ne manque à mon goût. Tout cela fait que j'y ai à nouveau réservé une autre nuitée pour mon prochain passage la semaine prochaine ?, toujours en déplacement professionnel. A bientôt Beatrice. Bernard.
