6 Bed and Breakfast Inns in Queens: Best hotel deals for 2023

May 17, 2023 Terina Blouin

Queens is the most ethnically diverse area of its size on Earth, which means there's a little something for everyone. Chow down on Indian food, sit in on a traditional Irish pub music session, and dance the night away at a Puerto Rican nightclub, all of it located within a few subway stops. Queens is also the home of the Mets and the US Tennis Open, and the former home of the New York World's Fair, now Flushing Meadow-Corona Park, and Paramount Pictures, now the Museum of the Moving Image.

The room was perfect for me, the stranded traveler. My flight out of LGA was canceled and it was a bus and then a train ride away. Perfect bed and shower. It absolutely fit the situation. 4 blocks from 21st-station. Quick turnaround so don’t know much about nearby restaurants. Didn’t seem like much around there, other than a few convenience stores.

Nice hotel, big rooms and bathroom is decent for the price. Easy to get to Woodside subway, small shops for stocking up a bit of food, note theres a kettle in the room. Only downfall is that the NY fire-station is across the road and you hear them as they leave, this is clearly not the hotels fault and you end up laughing about it after a while. If you get a chance ask for the rooms away from Queens Boulevard street (this might help with the noise of the fire trucks). Overall, I doubt you'll get better for the price and is a simple stopping place to visit Queens, Brooklyn and travelling into Manhattan really easy! Great for budge back-packers aswell

Way, way overpriced

We were desperate. Needed to be in NY for a funeral. Had to make reservations for Fri-Sat on Thursday. After failing to find space on seven tries, we got this place for $475 !!! The lobby is a hall, with outside doors at each end, one to the parking lot, the other to Queens Blvd with a note that says "use the other door." At the middle of this "lobby" is a room, protected by a bullet-proof window.. The most prominent sign on this window says, in bold letters: NO REFUNDS ! Next to that is a list of the rules of this establishment. They include: "no more than two to a bed; no prostitution; if you want porn, turn on your television." Behind the window are the people whose job seems to be to ignore, insult or sass their guests. Our room was clean and large enough for a cheap motel. The mattress was satisfactory and the shower was very good. The room rent did not include breakfast (We would not have used it anyway) The nearest restaurant is 3 blocks away, a nice little Mexican place. Across from that is a MacDonald's and a Wendy's. We went to the funeral in the morning and returned that evening to see that our room had not been touched: no bed made, no new towels. Fortunately the room cleaning cart was down the hall; so we took the towels we needed. When we asked about that the next morning, we were told that, if we wanted services, we had to ask for them. Nuff said.

Nice facility but beware of hidden costs

The hotel is relatively new and reflects that. The room was overall clean, (though the entryway floor was as sticky as a movie theatre floor). They will only clean your room after four nights, which made sense during COVID, but it seems we are beyond that point now. Breakfast was very good, and there was adequate seating, including a nice outdoor seating area for good weather. But if you happen to check in early, even if there are rooms ready, that will incur a fee. Their website indicates self-parking is $30, but I was charged $40, because I have an SUV...though it fits in the same spot a car does, and the website was mysteriously silent on the SUV fee. The website also notes a "complimentary local shuttle" but upon inquiry was told it only goes back and forth to LaGuardia, so given we had a few rooms of people going to a function a mile away, that seems a deceptive description. Also note that it is a pet friendly hotel, so hopefully you are not next door to an incessantly barking dog, as we were.
