Reviewed By 643thomsWe chose Raven Haven for an anniversary getaway, and it was a great choice. Tony and Eleanor opened their home to us so graciously and made us feel very comfortable and cared for. Our room was cozy, the food was great, and the conversation we had with them and the other guests was engaging. Hospitality above and beyond.

Reviewed By Joan CThis place is so beautiful, and the owners go out of their way to make sure you are happy and comfortable. The view is fantastic, and you can watch the sunset on the back deck. We enjoyed breakfast on the deck as well. There are snacks and drinks available all day long. I highly recommend staying here for a weekend or longer - very peaceful and rejuvenating trip.

Reviewed By dianehM3738EOWelcoming town with friendly people and inviting store owners. Like conversation? All the store owners are so hospitable and love to chat. We ate lunch at Wildflower Cafe. (Not one but twice) Best dang food and a lot of it. The tomato pie was out of this world. We all ordered something different and were not disappointed. Try it all you!!!!!

It was more beautiful than what met the eye
Reviewed By miklerres1When we arrived, some 5 miles down a rough, pot-holed narrow road, we wondered if we were going the right way. What we found was amazing! The house doesn't look all that impressive from the front, but that's only because you can't see that it's 3 full stories that have been built into the side of the mountain. Inside, it was truly beautiful, with glass all the way across the front, looking out over the valley. We had the house to ourselves most of the time we were there, and even when the other rooms (the house only has 3 bedrooms for rent) were occupied, you never knew they were around. The inn was a good starting point for our day trips around the area, and there are 3 totally eclectic restaurants in town, all of which were recommended, so meals were not a problem. Breakfast at the inn was also excellent, and was freshly prepared. If you're looking for something different, and don't mind going off the beaten path, this can't be beat!

Nippersink Lodge is a Bed & Breakfast located on top of Lookout Mountain in Mentone, Alabama. The Lodge is located on the west fork of the Little River, a half mile away from Desoto Falls. Nippersink Lodge is a wonderful get-away for couples, social groups and campers. In addition the Lodge can be rented out for social gatherings such as family reunions and weddings!

Reviewed By Holly SCan't say enough about how special this place is. Nestled among scenic wildlife, rustic and timeless. The water thid weekend was warm, we took the paddleboat out and Desoto Falls us just around the bend. The place iteself was built in the 1930's with timeless charm. If you are looking for a rustic setting and a place to retreat, this is the place for family get togethers, for it can accomodate a large but intimate setting. The water down below sets you right along a gorgeous river/mountain lake. We saw so much beauty here. My son didn't touch an electronic device all weekend. The owners were beyond kind amd amazing. They make you feel right at home. Sweet home Alabama. Mentone is a beautiful place to experience. I would recommend this place to eveyone.

Reviewed By CJTravelAdvenWe stayed two nights during the July 4th weekend. Hayley texted with us a few days prior to our arrival, giving us info on restaurants and things to do in the area. She met us outside when we arrived and gave us a tour. The room (and entire place) was super clean. We had a great breakfast each morning. During our stay it was the little things ( Independence Day themed napkins with breakfast, bringing our breakfast to our room and fresh cookies left at our door) that made the stay feel special. Hayley is so sweet and you can tell she cares about making your stay comfortable. The porch views are spectacular!! We were able to watch fireworks that were all across the valley and could see for miles away. Highly recommend this Inn!
