Hotel Le Carrefour

Nice mid class hotel

Reviewed By terjebja

The hotel has what you need, but has seen better days. Helpful staff, good internet and decent food. Rooms were spacious and with ac, although standard is “mid range”. Found a dead cockroach beside the bed which may indicate cleaning is not superb. From terrace you have direct ocean view, but the beach is not for swimming

Mimi-Hotel

Nice, but nothing special

Reviewed By Alex S

Although the hotel is located in a busy part of town, the hotel grounds are just off the main road and quiet. The rooms and the bathroom are OK and it's nice that the bungalows do have a veranda. The hotelgrounds itself are boring and if you spent a bit more money you can stay in a more attractive hotel along the beach. We stayed just 1 night before our trip to the Marojejy NP as it was better located (close to shops and markets) than the hotels along the beach. The price is OK

The rooms on 1 floor is bether. The hotel has a nice garden, with orkids, and just on the other side of the street is the beach. We got breakfast and it was a nice place. there is a gard taking care all night. they have also two bongalows on the beach, worth trying.

Hotel Melrose

Not well-maintained beachfront hotel

Reviewed By ClareRaz

The good point is the beachfront. The not so good point is the room: smelly bathroom, not well ventilated and somewhat expensive. The dysfunctioning air-con was repaired on our request. The hotel doesn't have alternative power when there is power outage, which was one day out of two. Otherwise, hotel personnel is very friendly.

Hotel Las Palmas

Avoid !

Reviewed By MadaboutMadagascar

I normally prefer not to write a review rather than write a bad one but will make an exception for the Las Palmas Hotel. I stayed for Two nights out of necessity rather than choice both before and after my visit to The Spectacular Marojejy National Park. The Staff are unhelpful, Rude and disinterested. The Service is appalling and takes the Malagasy saying ‘Mora mora’ to a whole new level The Rooms are Shabby and in need of updating. Having Spent 4 nights sleeping in a Hut in Marojejy NP with no Shower or usable Toilet which I had no Problem with, the only mildly good thing about the Las Palmas Hotel was the Luke warm Shower and the Ok Meal that took forever to arrive. They even had a desert menu with several choices only to explain that none of them were available, not even a Banana or a mango. I’m not sure this place is used to foreign Tourists although I don’t know who else they cater for. If you can, avoid at all cost
