Best B&B Ever

I normally do not like B&B's but this one changed my mind and it will change yours. Secluded, in a wooded setting, no noise, privacy, every conceivable amenity. Our room had a hot tub (which unfortunately the jets were not working), a gas fireplace operated by a remote control, a TV, a DVD player, a sofa, a dining table, an outdoor deck with a fire pit, a barbeque grill and seating. The shower is huge. The bathroom has bottles of everything you need in case you forgot to bring something. There are antiques everywhere you look. There are snacks, drinks, microwave popcorn, many DVD's. Everything is immaculate. The food is great, breakfasts were so big that we never ate lunch. Breakfast is brought to you on a huge tray. The host and hostess are so friendly it is like going to visit grandma and grandpa. Right in the middle of the Shawnee Wine Trail. There are two cats and a dog on the premises.

Wonderful place to stay!

Stayed here two nights with my parents, pre-teen daughter and two teen boys. Cute place - flowers on the porch were beautiful. Took some nice family pics. We ate two dinners outside at the picnic table. Used the grill for burgers and the fire pit for hot dogs and s'mores. Kitchen was set with oatmeal, granola bars, milk, coffee, hot chocolate. Enjoyed morning coffee on front porch swing and back porch. Great flat yard for soccer. (We brought our own ball) Rooms are really cute. Living room was comfy. Very clean. Comfy bathrobes. We had a great visit! Owl Creek Winery was just down the road. Sampled wines and hard cider. Great outdoor decks there. We did some fishing and hiking at Fern Clyffe State Park.

Historic Bell Hill

One great place for comfort, relaxation, and beauty!

This B&B is all of the above and more. The hospitality and breakfast are, without saying, great. Mitch, the general manager, is so welcoming and accommodating, and just a great person to visit with. Highly recommend Bell Hill and plan on returning in the fall. Once again, Mitch, thanks for everything.

Bruce Goff Castle Bed and Breakfast

Magical stay in southern Illinois

Reviewed By L G

As an admirer of Bruce Goff's architecture I was intrigued by the opportunity to stay in one of his homes but the enchantment went far beyond the building. Glen's (innkeeper) thoughtfulness, hospitality and willingness to share the beauty of this special site helped to make this one of our best b and b stays, and the delicious breakfast provided an excellent start for a busy day. We plan to return with friends and family members who will enjoy and appreciate this unique and lovely space.

Overnight in Honeymoon Cabin

Reviewed By ibwright

We spent one night in the Honeymoon cabin. The cabin is cute. Room to spread out. Didn't use the jacuzzi tub. Didn't look the cleanest. Loved the shower, but weird that there are no towel bars or hooks or anything to put towels and other things on. No real place to hang anything as there are no closets or bars. An old fashioned wardrobe that was cool, but not very practical for hanging things. The porch is neat with the porch swing, but sticky with some type of residue. Breakfast is minimal. If you are a big eater, bring your own or plan on eating in town. Glad to find this as we visit Anna every once in awhile and met our needs for an overnight. Loved the restaurant with the same name and they gave us a 10% discount for staying at cabins.
