Reviewed By restrawnWe stayed for only one night, and if I'd booked for more nights, would have left after that first night. The room itself would have been very good for our family of 3, if not for the noise problems. We had a quadruple room. Our hotel room was directly above a restaurant and bar that is definitely very popular with the locals, though we didn't realize it until late into the night. When we arrived late afternoon, the receptionist told us we'd parked in the unmarked lot at a wrong angle and asked us to move our car for the other hotel guests that would need to park there that night. We understood and did so -- but then before any more guests showed up, we went on our way out to dinner that night in a nearby town. When we returned it did not appear that there were any other hotel guests parking in the lot. Rather, they'd set up party tents and had a huge gathering outside all night, just underneath our hotel room window. We used the portable air conditioner in the room to try to drown out the noise, but it didn't really help, had a strange smell, and it was horribly loud. We could not sleep with the noisy air conditioner running, and couldn't sleep when we turned it off because of the loud party-goers. At around 2:30 AM, I went downstairs to ask how much longer the restaurant bar would stay open. The hostess told us that the bar was already closed, but people were still hanging out. It was disheartening. We had such a miserable night of horrible sleep.

Charming B&B in the heart of the Alsace
Reviewed By WasatchbackVilla Fink is a delightfully renovated home in the heart of Alsace. The owner, Sylvain Ichtertz, has done a wonderful job of updating the bedrooms to at least 4 star standard. Woodwork, décor, all reflect an earlier epoch with all the modern conveniences. Sylvain is a most attentive and cordial host. Breakfast was included and is excellent. You can find this B&B in the Gites de France website. It is a bit out of the way--and not in the middle of the vineyards--but very easy access to Comar and all the other charming villages of the Alsace. Delightful stay. Thank you, Sylvain. Sylvain, how about installing wifi? Thanks.
