The well being Hotel Aux Cypres de Marquay*** is located in the heart of a small village typical of the Perigord Noir located in the middle of the legendary triangle SARLAT, EYZIES, LASCAUX. Mario & Claude welcome you as at the "House" calm giving you a magical panoramic view of the countryside of Perigord Noir. 14 comfortable rooms, very well equipped with television and some with air conditioning. We serve a hearty breakfast and a table of hosts in the evening on reservation. You can enjoy a Massage such has The Balinese, Aromatherapy, Well Being. The perigord, a treat for the eyes... :)

This well-kept establishment in the heart of the countryside is not only value for money, it provides for everything that you need for a relaxing stay in the heart of the Dordogne - something that you really couldn't get staying in Sarlat itself. After a hearty breakfast (all fresh produce:no supermarket pastries here!) you are within easy reach of all the beauty spots which Mario is always happy to advise and assist. The swimming pool is a great asset and always welcome at the end of a hot day touring. There are some wonderful nearby farm restaurants which I'd strongly recommend and Sarlat is a 15 min drive (you really need a car to get here - taxis are rare). Good standard of housekeeping and excellent facilities, I'd warmly recommend Cypres de Marquay for a family or a couple. Well done Claude and Mario for building up this hotel and for all your fine rigorous efforts during this Covid 19 crisis, we all felt secure.

Nothing is too much trouble. As for the home made food for breakfast, the beautiful room, the peace of this countryside haven: they all combined to give us a most relaxing break. Near Sarlat, ideally located in the center of Black Périgord, in Sarlat triangle, Eyzies and Lascaux. Brood in the middle of the village of Marquay, house of character, with restaurant, terrace, swimming pool and private garden where you will be able to have your breakfast or to dine. You will be able to also benefit from the living rooms, and the wintergarden.

Reviewed By Kaynix2014The accommodation is beautiful, the decor tasteful. A chambre d’hôte of extremely high quality. The location is very quiet, and within very easy reach of Sarlat-la-Canéda, La Roque-Gageac and other tourist destinations. The bed was so comfortable, and no TV allowed us to switch off completely. There is an indoor sitting area with games, magazines and books as well as outdoor seating in the garden. Lovely for relaxing and an evening apéritif. Breakfasts are delicious, products very fresh and tasty. Great choice of « viennoiseries, salé and sucré » Gérard prepared the most amazing dishes for the table d’hôte menu. Do not miss this! We appreciated the health and safety measures put in place in this current Covid 19 environment. Thanks so much Marie Laure and Gerard for your professionalism and hospitality. Definitely the best chambre d’hôte we have stayed in during our many travels.

Tout est fait avec beaucoup de goût Indépendante de la maison de la propriétaire un petit déjeuner très copieux et délicieux avec des confitures et patisseries maison.
