Reviewed By tina vWe stayed here for four nights. To be honest we chose it because it was really the only option for where we wanted to be. We needed to be close to family and driving to Houma wasn’t going to work. When we checked in it was very difficult to communicate with the lady at the desk. Now I get with Covid the mask and plastic shields don’t help. I couldn’t understand a word she was saying and she got nasty with me. She was having an issue with the credit card machine and again got short with me. After traveling all day and anxious to get to my families house I wasn’t interested in wasting time. When we got into the room I’m pretty sure they either gave us the wrong room or the pictures online are deceiving. We reserved a two bed suite. That in itself was deceiving. We originally though we reserved a two bedroom suite. Poor wording. The pictures online make it appear like a larger room. So be careful with that if you require a larger room. We basically dropped out bags off and left. Didn’t get back until late that night. I was pretty sure the sheets were not clean. The next morning my husband noticed what looked like blood on the sheets with a hair stuck to it. Ughh. Unacceptable. The room itself also wasn’t the cleanest. He went to the front desk to tell them. The women at the desk basically told him okay we will change the sheets. No apology. Nothing. As far as the positive there was a lovely women that was working in the breakfast area. She was so sweet. I wish I could remember her name. She greeted us every morning. We had a nice conversation. As far as the breakfast selection it was a very minimal selection. But good enough to get something quick before heading out. All in all this is it if you need to be in the area. If we actually had a clean room I would have given it three stars. The dirty sheets were unacceptable. I didn’t Have time to discuss with a manager during my stay because of the situation we were dealing with during our stay. I would be very interested in speaking to a manger.

Good Clean Newer Hotel with noises issues
Reviewed By Aeeo73It feels like a newer built hotel with many amenities. I enjoy the firm beds and decor provided. I’ve stayed here 3 times and the hotel is clean and spacious. I’ve stayed in a suite, which had one room divided into 2 with a sofa, coffee table and desk, the bed in another area both with large tv’s. The other 2 times were King rooms which had ample space. One room was ADA compliant and had a wonderful shower the other had a standard tub shower! As for the noise, the front side of the hotel has a car wash, I thought planes were flying over head, but i was wrong. Also on the front you can easily hear the traffic from the road. On the back side it was much quieter. However, I assume that is the elevator buzzing I hear from the halls, Sounds like a microwave over timer, and On the 3rd floor you can easily hear the person on the fourth floor walking above you

Great little home away from home

Clean facilities with everything you need to have a short or extended stay with the nice amenities having a refrigerator, kitchenette, and all the utensils. The bed is over soft but so are most new hotels. My room smells new or recently redone. The noise of the back and front side is relatively non-existent. However parking is a premium as they share a lot with a restaurant bar and grill that flows over into the hotel area quite frequently.

Close to plantation homes, airboat rides, alligator farm, local distillery and brewery, Cajun music, Cajun dancing, Cajun food, Gospel singing, boiled crayfish, crabs, and shrimp, and more. Relax on the the swings outside, hammock amongst the trees, or comfortable rockers on the back porch facing Bayou Lafourche. Full breakfast, Free WiFi, Free parking, flat panel TV in every room. B&B winner for the state of Louisiana in 2016. Luxury Travel Guide Award for the B&B of Louisiana in 2016, also.

Good parking area and beautiful backyard with gazebo overlooking at the bayou with swing benches. Provisional snack breakfast provided as kitchen was still being renovated.

Reviewed By Aeeo73The hotel has become run down and the halls smell of mildew? The room I got last time the carpet had turned from brown to green. Looks like they are in need of a renovation. Everything else is typical Holiday Inn, comfortable beds, and room amenities including a mini fridge. 1 mini bar of soap and body wash /shampoo dispensers in the shower.
