Reviewed By Eileen-GCSLESituated in the Sologne area and just among the main Loire Valley royal castles, this is a wonderful hotel! The decoration is both natural and hype. We loved the majestic entrance with the golden deer and the welcoming team was really nice! The communicating rooms for parents and teenagers were perfect : a bathroom and toilets for each, comfortable new beds and much space to feel cosy. It was great to enjoy a drink in a good atmosphere at the bar in the evening and the breakfast in the morning was absolutely fantastic, healthy and delicious! We'll come back for sure... because we didn't have time enough to enjoy the terrace outside and the swimmingpool! I highly recommend a stay.

Le Manoir de Contres is a magnificent stately home built in 1818. Turned into a comfortable and elegant little hotel in 2011 it is a haven of peace in a private estate of 2.5 Acres.The manor house is located in the small town of Contres, a couple of hours south of Paris near the Loire Valley castles (classified as World Heritage by UNESCO). The "Manoir" proposes free WIFI access, a French restaurant, a small conference room,a bike-port, a lift and a bar.

Reviewed By LianyWe felt very welcome in this hotel. We had a very spacious and comfortable room. We also enjoy the dinner a lot, a bit pricey but worth every penny. We would go back if we come back to this area un the future

Reviewed By Reid RWe stayed here 18 years ago and 29 years ago and loved it. The same owners have managed it for 30 years. It has not lost its charm and the breakfast is outstanding. The rooms are nicely appointed and the location is convenient. Perfect setting. All the jams at breakfast are homemade.

A nice family feel
Reviewed By hazzapettsI stayed overnight with my grandma on the way down to SW France. She regularly stays here and the staff have been very good to her and treat her as family. The food is excellent and it is lovely to sit out in the garden during the summer. Everything is a little retro, but the rooms are very comfortable, with good showers. I look forward to staying there again.
