Pleasant stay at the Station Inn in Pawling
Reviewed By F5062SWstevegI stayed at the Station Inn in Pawling as I had show tickets down the street at Daryl's. The inn is very nice. This runs like an Air B&B. Self check in and no reception desk. My room was very nice and spotless. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom & shower was spacious and modern. There is a nice little coffee hutch in a cubby in the hallway with mugs, coffee and such, bottled water, ice maker and a small fridge . It was a nice touch. Parking was easy. The Inn has cable TV, Netflix and good wifi. Wifi is important because for some reason I couldnt get any data connection in town without it. There is a Metro-North rail line by the hotel. There seems to be only one train an hour and it was dead quiet after 10pm so the train noise wasn't an issue at all. If I am in the area again I would absolutely stay at the Station Inn. Great room at a good price.

Reviewed By ProudGrandparents043We really liked these accommodations! Different from regular hotel room...very large! We had a king sized bed and it was very comfortable. Towels were a bit scratchy but other than that we were very pleased.

Love the studio upstairs with the balcony for some quiet time away from the group. Greg was the perfect host. He was easy to contact and was always checking in to be sure we were having a great time. Thanks Greg, we will definitely be returning to Kismet in the years to come.

Marina (Oneida Lake Boat Rentals) - fabulous!
Reviewed By zoec8942We (a group of 3) rented kayaks for an hour from Oneida Lake Boat Rentals, and the experience couldn't have been better! We were able to use their website no problem to book ahead of time (we actually did it on our drive there), and arrived early. They mentioned on their website that GPS/maps will not quite get you to the right place (and they include supplementary directions to get you there), however our GPS (we used Google Maps) took us right to their parking lot. The parking lot is small (maybe could fit about 10 cars or so), but we didn't have a problem pulling right in, as it wasn't completely full. It does feel a little bit like you're just in someone's backyard, but the main office is easy to find, and we walked right in. They had us fill out the waivers (which you can do online before arrival, but it took us less than 10 minutes to do it when we got there), gave us life jackets and paddles, and sent us off in the kayaks! We had a full hour time slot (1 pm - 2 pm), but we accidentally got back a little bit past 2 pm, and they were completely chill about it. Both men we dealt with were very friendly, and gave good advice about where to go (and recommended that we paddle against the current on our way out so we'd be going with it on the way back, which was GREAT advice, especially since 2 of us were first-time kayakers). Overall, we had a great experience here, and we will likely be returning to explore more of Oneida Lake this way!

Reviewed By DayTrip552500I felt in love with this place the view was beautiful and the cottage was very clean and under the condition of the coronavirus they were doing a great job keeping grounds clean loved that we had our own BBQ on the deck I gave it a four star because I didn't like the mattress they need to replace it and the carpet I also didn't fine any movies on the TV it was all news I don't think they had the cable channel would I go back yes

Reviewed By steveS92XRLarge, well decorated, well appointed and well stocked 3 level condo. We had 8 people and it still felt very roomy. 2 master bedrooms and 2 other decent sized bedrooms. Hot tub on patio for all season use and first floor game room loaded with toys, like air hockey. Walk to town (about a half mile) and drive to slopes. Management company was pleasant and helpful. We have been renting on long weekends in Ellicottville for many years and this was the nicest place by far. It is expensive, and there are less costly alternatives, but this unit is worth the extra cost.

Decent course - terrible lodging
Reviewed By RocdrummerStayed at one of the villas. Entered our room on the ground floor which immediately felt cold and had a overwhelmingly strong musty smell like a wet mildewy basement. The air in the room felt damp even though it was not humid outside. We saw a note on the kitchen table that said our room was personally cleaned by Krystal. We looked around and immediately saw dozens of large daddy long leg spiders in all corners of the rooms ceilings. It was obvious that no one had been in the room in a long time looking like that. The bedding was dated. Cheap polyester comforter with dated colors. Mattresses felt decent. The heating/ac unit in the wall looked like it was from the 70s and didn’t even turn on. The room itself looked was updated it was just a shame what a terrible odor it had and the lack of cleaning. We didn’t bother complaining because we could see what kind of shape the pro shop was in. Paint peeling off the entire building, barely lit inside. They probably would’ve just tossed us in another room or cleaned it up quick. The golf course itself was good. Played the lake course and it was in pretty good shape.

Proximity to Dreams Park is best selling point
Reviewed By Cristiana SA majority of what you are paying for is the close proximity to Dreams Park. They are almost directly across the street which makes it convienient . If you have a lot of families with small children there is a lot of grounds space to run around . Pool is ok , sometimes it had an odd smell . Grounds are clean. More money and time needs to be invested inside the chalet. We were provided a used dirty sponge to clean dishes upon arrival . A new sponge costs minimal . There is no stove . The hot plates they give you do not get even water to boiling . There is hardly any dishes . The floor was dirty. They give you 1 set of paper towels and a roll of toilet paper . That’s about it. No cleaning service at least to do a quick vacuum and surface clean . Ive paid half of this cost at a cleaner place that at least gave you some toiletries . The amount of revenue this place brings in during baseball season I expect more. If you are not traveling with small kids and are on your own I recommend staying at a neighboring hotel where at least you will get a cleaning service and a clean environment .

Reviewed By tatideschampsEu e meu marido ficamos nesse hotel em Maio/2012 e a experiência foi ótima. Fiquei 5 dias e ele 3 semanas para um curso. Do lado da porta do hotel fica uma estação de Metrô. Tem farmácias e mercado próximos. Fica muito perto de Wall Street e do WTC. O quarto era bem esquipado, com cozinha e tudo o que era preciso para sobreviver. Em cada andar tem máquina de lavar e secadora. Hotel ótimo. Voltaria sempre!

Our "home" was "The Greek Revival" and it was a pearl of a rental house built in 1840 and furnished with stile and all modern equipment. Surrounded by 10 acres of beautiful landscape.
