Reviewed By A255QMbriandWe had a pleasant and wonderful stay at Eskala during the Thingyan Holidays. We stayed in one of the sea view villa with a fantastic view of the ocean. The resort has a wide and clean beach front which is not crowded. And the life guards will always approach on site whenever we are in the water. That's a plus for safety especially I'm with 2 kids. Food is superb and service at the dining hall is fast and efficient. My only comment is there are limited options in their food ala cart menu. But the daily buffet breakfast is awesome. The resort grounds and facilities are well maintained and the pool is picture perfect. The noise from people eating and drinking in the beside room balcony during night time can be heard in our room which is a bit annoying especially if you would like to have a nice relaxing sleep. And I hope hotel management can do their regular rounds and call attention of noisy guests. Long drive from Yangon is worth it. We will definitely come back.

Huge hotel compound and long beach front are able to accommodate all types of activities from water sports to beach parties. Hotel staff are friendly and they will greet you with innocent smiles saying "Mingalabar" every time they meet you. They are also very competent, experienced and professional in serving large groups of guests in all aspects, including catering, housekeeping, event set up, and so on. Newly opened "Surf Point Bar & Restaurant", located within the hotel compound, is also a must-go-place to chill and enjoy your evenings while you are in Ngwe Saung. NSYC is only 5-hours away from Yangon and it is a great place to escape the super busy and crowded commercial capital. Highly recommended.

Had good amenities with friendly staffs. Has a quiet and peaceful atmosphere for when you just want to chill and relax away from the daily grind.

Don’t expect a posh hotel, this place is down to earth and that is just the way it should be. Nevertheless the food is amazing and the cocktails are always on happy hour prices and the staff is super friendly. Do fresh up your ping pong skills as you will need them to beat the wonderful host Mariangela. If you are a bit skilled on a motorcycle I highly recommend the motorcycle tour that will take you over river crossing ferry’s and the beach. I love to be back there!

Great beach resort
Reviewed By Tony PThis is a brilliant beach resort and although it opened in 2001 and is rather tired in places (mostly bathrooms and some outside details) everything hangs together surprisingly well, although evidence of ongoing maintenance wouldn't go amiss. Great pool, comfortable rooms in large cabins with palapa style roofs, verandas back and front and sea views. Access to wide sandy beach. We were there in a large group for an end of tour finale and they provided dining that was perhaps not top end but certainly very adequate. A thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay. If we were there we would certainly consider staying again.

Reviewed By Scenic10378336378A relative planned the trip and if it were me, I would have never booked this hotel. The bathroom ceiling leaked when it rains in the room i stayed. The room was dusty and smelled like mold. There actually was mold on furnitures. Breakfast was cold. Their reason for every thing was “we just reopened so there will be some issues in most rooms”. Have stayed at multiple hotels in ngwe saung but this was the worst one so far. This was just the room I stayed in. A/C wasn’t cold in my brother’s room, the tap water was brown. The wifi was terrible.
