Excellent hospitality

Reviewed By wamorock

The hospitality in this hotel is top notch. Due to a delayed departure we missed our connection. After getting rerouted we arrived around 1:30am without our luggage. We had not eaten anything since early afternoon. We were starving. The check in took 1 minute. We were then offered a container of juice, some bananas and a bowl of nuts to hold us over until breakfast. We were extremely thankful. The room was modern with a comfortable king size bed. We also had an amazing ocean view which we took advantage of by sitting in the balcony in the evenings. Any requests made to the front desk were immediately taken care of. All staff were friendly and polite and willing to help any way possible. We spent our time by the small pool. Chairs were always available and there was always a nice breeze since it was facing the ocean. The lounge chairs were to close to one another at the large pool. Getting in and out of them sometimes became a task. We had a great couples massage at a reasonable price. There are many restaurants and bars all walking distance from the hotel. The beach is short 2-3 minute walk.Upon check out at 6:00am we were given some croissants since breakfast was not yet being served. We had a wonderful time here. I would definitely recommend Barcelo Teguise Beach.

Loved our stay!

Love this place!! My second stay in Iberostar Lanzarote and absolutely love it! We stayed for 2 weeks in the Star Prestige area and we can totally recommend it! Breakfast and diner is in the prestige restaurant, lunch is in the main restaurant which is very crowded and busy with kids. Food has a great quality. During nighttime we had our drinks at the Star Prestige Poolbar with live music. A big thank you to Charaf, Jan and the others! They work very hard! Hopefully we will return in 2023.

Plenty of sunbeds so didn't feel a rush to get out early to get one. round the pool area, was so relaxing entertainment was there but not intrusive , the piano bar was lovely and were so friendly while wizzing about with full trays lol. once the problems with the airports settle down we will be booking a return visit .

Beautiful setting, exceptional service

Fantastic hotel. Decor and cleanliness were impeccable. Staff all friendly and welcoming. Little touches like remembering what wine you’d ordered the night before, level of service you cannot put a value on. Perfectly located next to beach, showers on the beach & shops close by for drinks etc. Pool area is lovely overlooking the bay & we used the health spa as well which was stunning. The beach is essentially a lagoon so very safe for swimmers/kayakers etc. No hotel gym but were advised there’s one adjoining that guests can use. Local restaurants look lovely but we ate at the hotel. Food was exceptional and something different every night. Omelettes are stunning. Bar on 17th floor has stunning view of the mountains & perfect to watch sunset Would highly recommend.

Great standards , shame on service and evening entertainment

Reviewed By MikePaula21

Firstly I wanted to say that the room standards and outside areas were really a good standard with great access to both the port and playa Blanca ,however the main points for this hotel to improve upon are food options and additional staffing, the evening entertainment was very basic and lead us to go out on an evening or retire early. We were on an all inclusive basis and had also upgraded to preferred club, firstly the food was very limited in choice and not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The entertainment on an evening was very basic and lacking any real substance, we were very disappointed thus went out to avoid the boredom, the last point was the lack of staffing on an evening especially, waiting to be served and seated ! Just not good enough really. In the evenings just one main bar which struggled with the volume, an additional sports bar was not available? On the preferred club we had access to a club members pool and private lounge with snacks throughout the day , this was a pleasant bonus but found the food being left out far to long and not replaced regularly. This is a real shame because the hotel standards generally were high with branded drinks nice pool areas and great vista. If the hotel contracted on making improvements in these areas it would be fantastic, unfortunately we would not return. Mike &Paula

Still a nice place

Reviewed By gingerHKG

+ Nautilus Hotel is a very nice place, the gardens are decorated with beautiful sculptures from local artists and so many types of cactuses. The houses are simple but perfect for a holiday, they (ours) have a private patio as well where you can hang your towels and clothes. Our bedroom was big enough with a big wardrobe and a big window to the street, but it was always quiet. Our terrasse was big and open facing the sea. The whole place was well planed for wheel chairs and buggies. The reception staff was always very helpful and friendly. The pool and its surroundings as well as the hotel entrance are great. The beach and many shops and restaurants are in walking distance from the hotel. You can walk KMs along the beach. There is also a large parking area if you arrive by car. - The airport is really just next to the hotel and you see and especially hear the planes all day long and from time to time you smell the kerosene. It is quiet at night time. But that was ok for us, we were busy visiting the beauties of the island each day. Most of the cleaning ladies don’t care and should perhaps look for another job. After they left, (supposed to have finished) the place was still just as dirty as before, towels are changed daily though. One can’t walk bare feet or with white socks. They know that nobody will check if they have cleaned or not. It is difficult to wash a glass or pan in the sink as the tap is in the way. The shower floor is slippery which is dangerous especially for children or elderly. Dishes, pans and glasses need to be replaced as some are missing (this is also not checked by the cleaning ladies or management). Avoid drinking tap water (all over Lanzarote, I suppose), it smell’s, you might not notice until you make ice cubes. Boiling it is fine. = Nautilus could be the ideal place (even with the airport nearby) if the house maintenance was done seriously.
