There are no extras. The bed was average old but not uncomfortable. The price of the room was overpriced for this type of location but for a short stay it works well. The overall appearance was dated and needs better upkeep. It was clean and the management was friendly. I will add I travel with a service dog and did not have any problems, even with the heavily filled notices on the front desk a bit overboard, but I was treated well. I gave three stars but my experience was 4.

We stayed here in Williams for 2 nights to take the train to the GC and then drive over and see the meteor crater. It's a small hotel but very nice and we had a small living room and kitchen. Close enough to downtown to stroll to the eating places and the shops.

Great Value for Money

We stayed one night on the way to the Grand Canyon, great location just off the I-40. We received a very warm welcome from reception and check-in was very efficient, we did notice later in the day a big queue so think arriving earlier in the afternoon avoids this. There are no elevators so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs which wasn't an issue. The room was large and basic however met our needs for a night, 2 beds, small table, air con and TV. On the surface level the room was clean. Easy walk into town for a selection of restaurants. Hot water, tea and coffee was available at breakfast. Swimming pool and jacuzzi was closed I suspect still due to Covid. For the money we paid, we would stay again if passing through the area.

Too Expensive for What You Get

Reviewed By baddtaz2018

We stayed here for 7 days and paid $57.94/night and that was with our Good Sam discount. To me this is way too much money for what you get here. We have stayed in many other RV parks that are much nicer for a lot less money. The sites are big enough for the larger rigs, but the sites are dirt and gravel and they aren't level. We had to put leveling blocks under our door side wheels. While we were there it was windy every day and the dirt was flying everywhere. We also tried to do laundry in their laundry room. They have four coin operated washers and dryers. We had laundry in all four dryers and found out after the drying was complete that only one of the dryers was heating properly. Due to this we lost an additional $6, $2/load and had to take our wet laundry to a nearby laundry mat. Now when we made our reservation we were never asked if we wanted 20 amp, 30amp or 50amp service. Even though I told them I had a 40 foot fifth wheel trailer, for whatever reason, they put us down for 30amp service. When we arrived we noticed they had 50amp service so naturally we plugged into the 50amp connection. Now after we left the park they charged our credit card an additional $21.07 for 50amp. There was nothing in our confirmation that indicated 50amp was an additional charge and they said nothing to us during check in. This brings the daily total up to $60.94/day, not including the laundry issue, for a park that isn't all that great.

The STAR Hotel .. [ my time there ]

Reviewed By Jeff W

I stayed there last April 2022. I booked a king bed room , they are the original row of rooms built in the 1930's . The parking is a narrow alleyway where each guest is supposed to park in conjunction with their room number , but nobody hardly does that . It's a tight and tricky place to try and deal with . . My room had only a shower and was very small and had an uneven floor .. The television had COLOR like all the way up , super intense orange , etc. I tried to somehow adjust it but that through off the reception and I had to get help . The owner / manager became upset with me about it [ after 2 attempts ] and I realized there was no way to set anything on the T V at all , just off / on , volumne , channel . . After a couple of days , I switched to the double queen rooms in the back of the place . They are much better , larger rooms [ same unadjustable TV though , and the air conditioner /heater was burning out with bad odor] But I did'nt ask for repair and just waited till check out time to inform the desk . I had to go to the hotel next door to get ice because the Star's machine was froze up . . But it's in a good location for access , shopping , etc. If you choose this hotel , I would recommend getting a double queen bed room in the back , and good luck to you .

Underwhelmed. Under appreciated and over priced not what I expected.

Underwhelmed. Under appreciated. Over priced and not what I expected. I booked in advanced and asked for an upgrade and was told there was none. There were not many quest staying there. All late check ins. Walked in the room and the room was like the weather outside 32 degrees or colder. The room was much smaller than I expected. Also, it is across the street from a train track and 3 times woken up my train horns. The wifi did not work and the next morning I had to go across the street to the lobby and walked in 22 degree weather. There was a big problem with the heater. I was either cold or too hot. Could not find that find line. I pointed the vent up and blocked it with a chair as it ran constant. That dis not work. I could not change rooms as the hotel was closed early. I politely address my problems and I was blown off by the young girl at the desk and I wanted to speak to the manager. I was not even contacted afterwards as I wanted to express my troubles to someone before I wrote this review. Now, I will check and I will read an apology which is a sign of weakness and unprofessionalism that neither I or other travelers could care less. So don't apologize when you get this review.

Cut by broken bed spring

Reviewed By kgrant550709

I stayed here for a trip to the grand canyon. I Went to the toilet in the night and felt something catch my leg. When I woke in the morning again I felt something sharp on the bed and one of the bed springs was poking through. It had scratch my left leg just below the knee. I reported this to the front desk and showed them the cut. They said they would look into it but offered no real apology and the clerk seemed unsure of what to do or handle it. I asked if I needed to fill in any paperwork and was told no.

Poor quality bedding in a tiny, very old room. The bathroom was super-small and there was no shampoo. They had a couple hand lotions, but no shampoo. When I asked the owner, she didn't seem to know what I was talking about, but did remind me there was no breakfast either. The startling thing was how disguting the TV remote control was. It was actually filthy with a crusty feel to it. Willaims is small and you can walk to most things, so don't choose this place for the location.
