10 Top-Rated Motels in Niagara Falls, New York

April 21, 2023 Vergie Nakamoto

A popular spot for getting wowed or soaked amid natural splendor, Niagara Falls attracts curious spectators and adventurous honeymooners from around the world. The splendid main attraction - more than six million feet of water cascading over a rocky crest - sits partially in the United States and partially in Canada. The U.S. side has recently been busy promoting other activities to lure visitors. Venues like the Aquarium of Niagara offer parents fun and engaging alternatives for kids, after or in between visits to the Falls. Outdoor recreation such as hiking, biking, fishing and camping can be found at the Niagara Falls State Park. The storied history of attempts to conquer the majestic Falls is captured at the Daredevil Museum; the Schoellkopf Museum concentrates on the history and geology. There's more to the Falls than, well, the Falls, including a wide array of dining and lodging options, from budget to upscale. This awe-inspiring region makes for an exhilarating and multi-faceted getaway

Great family owned motel!! Loved it!

Reviewed By Amanda D

Family owned motel business. Super nice folks that allowed us early check in so we can can store our stuff before our Niagara Falls tour. Great friendly staff!! Very clean bedding and room! Free parking in front of our room was sooooo convenient especially since it started raining! The WiFi was a bit slow and room was a bit dark, but otherwise we had such a wonderful stay! They could easily charge more so I would HIGHLY recommend.

Horribly Misrepresented Property. Beware!

Reviewed By hoalca

This hotel is misrepresenting itself. The favorable reviews are incomprehensible. The place was in disrepair. The pool was not opened and overgrown. It hasn't been open in awhile. There was construction debris in the yard. Our room was crowded, outdated, and depressing. I wouldn't even get in the shower. Late at night when we got back we discovered that it was filthy under the bed. When we mentioned our concerns to the owners they became belligerent. They told us all about their rave reviews and that we were hurting their feelings. No response--expect to tell us we could leave. Where are we suppose to go when we barely have 24 hours to visit? We just wanted some acknowledgment of our concerns (especially the cleaning--and maybe an offer to either clean or bring supplies. We used bathroom towels to clean the floor) An offer of a reduction in price would have been nice. Because of the hard times on hotels right now we wouldn't have accepted it. But to at least make the offer. That would have been appreciated. For some reason we paid a really overpriced amount for the room. No acknowledgement of our issues (misrepresenting the hotel on websites and not caring about cleanliness) were met with pushback and being told we were banned from he property. So, if you stay here, make sure not to express any dissatisfaction. They don't want to hear it. Where all the accolades are coming from, who knows? I do know that the hotel reported our booking to the booking site as having been canceled--that we were a no-show. That meant we didn't get to write a review. How convenient. I corrected the error and made sure to let the site know they were posting a hotel that is grossly mis-represented on their site.

Clean and Quiet

Reviewed By MsRlpanda

This is a typical motel. Clean rooms, quiet location, but rooms were pretty small and in need of some updating. Some updates have been done but the exhaust fan in the bathroom was not great, so you could tell moisture builds up in there. AC unit was a little noisy, but over all not too bad.

Spontaneous trip with kids-THE FLOORS ARE PAPER THIN

Reviewed By Chris P

When we pulled up we were SO PUMPED to stay here! The outside is beautiful. The inside is decent but poor choice in wallpaper. They have smelly fruity things in the air vent of lobby that were REALLY strong (hope you’re not asthmatic!) . Once up to room we were really pleased! Beautiful plus a balcony but no furniture to sit on balcony. The room smelled new. The bummers came as we laid in bed-I could hear the loud conversation from the room above. Thin floors. Then I could hear the conversation from the people in the hallway loud and clear as though the door was open. Thin doors and walls. ! . Holy crap. Does this place even meet code with wall thickness ! The bathroom is a sliding barn door. You can hear EVERYTHING bc there’s a 2-3 inch gap around the whole thing but whatever I’m with my kids so who cares. But I’d be embarrassed ifiwss here with a boyfriend or something. But it does have a bathroom fan! That’s a plus. Before even sitting on the toilet for our first breaking in the toilet session, I discovered poop on the side of the toilet paper roll from an earlier guest. Lovely. The chest and pubic hairs in the corners were another amazing touch seeing as how we JUST got here and they weren’t mine. Probably having hard time finding good helpers here However….. The beds are clean thankfully. Laying in bed there is a noise from another room that sounds like a washing machine. LOUD. lasted a half hour. TIP FOR ALL: I was able to turn the fan on the heater on to muffle it a touch. The area is slummy outside so be careful if walking. We chose to drive everywhere. many boarded up homes surrounding this place so we drove everywhere. Ate At an Indian place that was tasty around the corner. Went to movie theater afterwards that was ten min away which was nice. Going home tomorrow and if I came back I’d try either on Canada side or at the casino or Hampton or Hilton on this side. Prob Won’t be back to this place The tissue paper thin walls and floors are too much of a deterrent plus I don’t like pre used toilet paper. Let me say that they front staff were very kind. They are going to have a connected restaurant open soon which looks nice. The place is new and smells clean just bring a noise machine and maybe disinfectant wipes lol I’ve stayed in worse places for sure I just don’t like that thin of walls.

WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER STAYED IN MY LIFE !!

Reviewed By PENNY-MHAD

Rooms were horribly smelly and extremely outdated --cracked peeling paint. Filthy. The shower was so disgusting that neither myself or my traveling companion dared use it. The worst was the blatant price gouging that happened to us. We were going to stay 3 days and were quoted a price. When we arrived we were SO tired that I did not ask for a breakdown or receipt for all 3 nights. We only stayed one due to the lateness of the hour and when it stunk so bad we went to check out the next morning and asked for a refund of the remaining 2 nights. We were horrified to discover that they expected $210. --- yes that is NOT a typo -- $210 for ONE night in this dump. Were very rude and refused to let us talk to the manager. Price gouging and if you don't like the smell of curry -- do not stay here !!!

Great Location and Friendly Staff

Reviewed By Quebec1408

My Husband and I stayed there for one night, when we were on our way back to Canada. The room was great: the king size bed was very comfortable, the room was dark (which was good for us to sleep), the bathroom was very clean, and they have a parking big lot. There was no breakfast, but it was reasonable. The only issue we had was a slight smell. It is a very good place to stay.
