The front desk ladies, some who have been there for many years remember me when I check in and are always polite, friendly and helpful. I have stayed at this Best Western for 20 years!

There are many murals including a 206' 3D map of Route 66 and famous 100' glowing neon tower. Come and join us for the ulimate Route 66 experience! Reviewed By hollsteinmsh1Pulled in, the motel is not a 3 4 or 5 star. This is a by-pass motel. Look elsewhere for a RT 66 hotel. Motel is old, as in not looking like a location to stay at. We took a close look, after stepping over the sandbag items by the office door we decided this was not a place for us. We spent the prior 2 nights in old RT 66 motels. They were both excellent for older motels. This location is appears as if it is still ol. Just old. Oh did I mention the doors with what appears to be rotted wood? Or the broken glass? Not for us. Other locations in the area would be a better choice.

Reviewed By mmarta316209Hello. The rooms were clean. The big problem is the clean air. The big problem is the hallways and stairs. They were very dirty and full of rubbish. The carpets in the hallways smell very bad. The smelly air got into the rooms. Unfortunately this was the worst motel on our itinerary!

Reviewed By mary vBest room $50 can buy (and I'd be willing to pay more). The room is dated but it has several updates including a microwave and fridge and flat screen tv. The heater worked great and drowned out the train. But if you are in Kingman, almost everywhere you will hear the train. The bed was comfortable and clean. Bathroom is small but serviceable. But the highlight for us was the accommodating and friendly nature of the proprietors. I had to call and change my not cancellable reservation and they said "no problem". And we ended up arriving at 12:30 at night even though they "closed" the office at 11:30. We called around 10 once we knew how late we would be and they said, "no problem, just ring the night bell". The room also has a table, two chairs, a desk and a large closet.

Reviewed By 636davefwhat a dump 1st room no ac so got a 2nd room ac worked great but door wouldnt stay latched unless you actually locked it and shower forget about it unless you like cold water turned it to hot and thought someone started a jack hammer outside. we slept good probably from being tired and drinking. this property really needs to be demolished or turned into apts even though they put new flooring and paint to polish it its still a dump . the color palet inside the rooms are ugly and gloomy, not sure who choose the colors but nothing inviting

Bad People Here
Reviewed By SPBSanFranciscoMy sister who is severely handicapped drove out to see us in SF bay for the holidays from Colorado. Driving back, we got her a reservation here, but when she arrived, bent over on a walker and exhausted from 10 hours of driving and having difficulties articulating because of her tracheotomy and brain damage, they refused to let her in. They told her she didn't have a reservation and shut the door on her. It was a Saturday night and no other hotel in the area had rooms. She pleaded with them but the turned off the lights on her. She ended up having to sleep (very little) in a cold and dangerous area by the side of the road. The next day, she was exhausted and fell asleep at the wheel. She ended up wrecking her car and nearly dying. Please, do not patronize people who would do this. I also understand they have turned away others because of various other prejudices.
