Know not where to stay now

Reviewed By kellykaprelian

No issues with staff but the place was not as it appeared online. Very old and rundown looking. Not very clean and coffee maker in room could not be used as it was gross inside and was not clean--not something I could even get clean myself in the bathroom sink. Listened to people above walking around in the middle of the night as the creaking floor was very loud in the room. Very outdated. Not a place I would go back to.

We have been staying at the Maple Terrace Motel 10 or so days a year for the past 12 years. Why? It is the best in the area. The staff goes overboard to insure we are happy. Every year we stay there we see improvements we never knew needed improving. This year the parking lot was was repaved and relined. In spite of Covid we felt safe and found no inconveniences. The grounds are beautiful, including the adjoining horse boarding farm seen from the rear of the hotel, along with comfortable chairs, numerous picnic tables, a very large, well maintained swimming pool, and beautiful gardens. Don’t expect modern furniture, but it is clean and comfortable. If in Williamstown, try it…you won’t be sorry you did..

Lovely

We had a lovely stay at The Briarcliff Motel in Great Barrington, theBerkshires, Massachusetts. The shower was nice and hot, the towels were nice and thick. The beds were very comfy with cozy linens. We requested adjoining rooms snd the rooms were ready on our arrival. The rooms were very clean. There was a cool fire pit with chairs to enjoy the fire. There was a nice dog chain in the front yard that we were able to hook our dog’s leashes onto so they enjoyed some freedom. The breakfast was very nice, delicious coffee, fresh fruits, oatmeal, etc. The people who work there are very warm and thoughtful. The motel is close to the Norman Rockwell Museum and the Stockbridge Botanical Gardens. We highly recommend this lovely motel.

New England vacation

Reviewed By A7485POcarolb

My friend and I are from South Florida and this was our first trip to New England. This hotel was great! Very friendly couple runs it, and it is very convenient to Dunkin’ Donuts, Dollar General, Cumberland Farms and others. The morning we left, the President of the Mohawk Trail organization happened to be there, and helped us plan the next leg of our trip. The room was very affordable, comfortable, and met our needs very well. The only downside is that the address is a little deceiving - it sounds like this motel is in Vermont, when in reality it is located just over the Massachusetts border. We would definitely recommend the Williamstown Motel!

Reasonably priced decent motel

We stayed for 2 nights in early May and we liked the fact that they were not charging a fortune for a decent motel room. It was nothing special but a clean room with all the basic amenities. We were not expecting much in $89/nt but they pleasantly surprised us. We will be back later in the summer.

This place is really bad. Old. Dirty. One lightbulb, dank dark ancient rooms. Probably was renovated in the 1970s. It was so unfortunate that we drove three hours rather than stay one night. It’s just gross. I would avoid this place at all costs.

WARNING! Do not stay here!

Reviewed By lloyds354

The room was dirty, unsafe, poorly equipped, and in need of major repairs. The website said pet friendly and it was not. The website said smoke free and it was not. Upon checking the room was not available. We were then told that there were only 2 rooms with pets allowed and both were already taken. This was not mentioned during the reservation process. We were given a smoking room in a non smoking property which made us feel like we’d be sleeping in a dirty ash tray. There were loose electrical wires hanging down in front of all the rooms. The window screen was torn. The door lock and deadbolt were inoperable. There was no shower curtain or waste baskets. This was the worst hotel room I have ever been in. Wyndham and Travelodge should be embarrassed.
