Reviewed By O2885ADphilOn a passé une nuit à cette splendide propriété, chaleureusement accueillis par Mr. et Mme. Thalineau. Un lieu plein d'histoire. Quelles belles chambres, quel beau jardin, quel accueil ! Le petit déjeuner était parfait aussi. On a quitté avec de bons souvenirs. Merci beaucoup.

Reviewed By Debra NWhat an amazing village chateaux, owned and run by an extraordinary couple, Ron and Jenny. The châteaux has been lovingly restored and is both grand and elegant. It has a warm and homely feel about the place. I stayed on two different occasions during my trip and each time the room was an absolute delight, opulent yet cosy. The courtyard to the front is the perfect place for a glass or two. Jenny and Ron are your perfect hosts, happy to share or give you complete privacy during your stay.

Reviewed By Kusty4Avec mes amis, nous avons pu avoir l'occasion de passer un séjour extraordinaire. Aussi bien l'endroit que l'accueil, tout était sublime. Une vue imprenable sur la campagne du lot et Garonne, un magnifique domaine, un tas d'équipement pour une multitude d'activités impossible de s'ennuyer, une piscine à débordement fantastique, des propriétaires amicaux et chaleureux, un chien plus qu'attachant, des chambres d'hôtes à vous couper le souffle... Et j'en passe, je ne vais pas tout vous dire à vous de le découvrir ?.

Amazing garden and nice cottages... we enjoyed every minute in Timazen... good bed, great shower, a bbq, a small but refreshing pool, sauna and a garden with some cosy and private areas. The breakfast is nice; served in a ? with homemade jams and fresh orange juice and freshly backed baguettes.. yoghurt and fresh fruit. Corine, the owner, is very gentle and hospitable... we definately recommend this place... but do not tell too much people; we keep this spot a little bit for ourselves ?

The Domaine de Gavaudun is a 4* Holiday Resort with 35ha of undulating fields and woods, offering high quality vacation rentals (25 villas and cottages), bar, restaurant and many leisure activities. Reviewed By SuperDKMy wife and I (and the dogs) had a wonderful vacation experience at Domaine de Gavaudun. Eric and his wife were wonderful hosts/managers and the location was a natural paradise with its woodland and prairie setting. The amenities are modern and offer guests a way to release and relax at the end of the day. The location is also very close to a myriad of wonderful and affordable gastronomic pearls with regard to restaurants. The area is also wonderful for medieval castles, vineyards and ancient cave paintings.

Reviewed By PiwicarrollThis property has been lovingly renovated by two gentlemen who clearly have the most amazing taste. They purchased the property 4 years ago and restored it to its former glory. The rooms are exquisite, each individually styled. Beautiful linen and the most comfortable beds. You want for nothing everything has been throughly thought out. The house sits on top of a hill which looks out into a vast green idyllic plain. The breakfast is to die for! I couldn’t recommend this B & B enough. Absolutely Stunning.

Cycling the Canal de Gironne
Reviewed By MalRileyThe Domaine Roccas is a few kilometres from the canal, but worth the extra if you fancy a night ‘glamping’. We stayed in a large well appointed tent, with fridge, coffee/tea making and a luxury bathroom a few paces away. Though we had carried some food additional salads and wine were happily added by our hosts Barbara and her mum. The location is very rural and relaxing, but unfortunately one night didn’t allow us to experience the lovely pool and other health benefits on offer. The night was windy but this didn’t detract from an excellent experience. Continental breakfast, including ample hot coffee, was brought to our tent in a basket. We were made to feel special and at home throughout our stay and hope to return.....this time by car....soon. NB. The map location on Booking.com is quite a way from the actual location........which is up hill on a bike. The map on Trip Advisor is much better. Phone contact is difficult as they have poor reception, so it might be best to correspond by email!

Reviewed By Lyn MWe stayed at Les Maisons de Maylis for a week and found it to be a great location for a base for the lot-et-Garonne area. The house we stayed in was spacious,and clean with heaters in each room if needed. The TV had English channels as well as French. The house is self contained, with fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher and a washing machine. Some basic supplies were provided in the kitchen too. Basic bathroom supplies were provided along with towels and bed linen. Shower was beautifully hot with good water pressure. Free Wifi was supplied, but I found that it would only work in limited places in the house and sometimes not at all. The double bed was reasonably comfortable, but bedroom lights were not bright enough to read by. I swapped the pink, egg shaped light for a standard lamp from the other room as I found the pink light to be somewhat disturbing. Only 1 garbage bag was supplied in the kitchen which made garbage disposal a bit difficult. I guess I could have asked Serene for more, but didn't bother. On the whole, we enjoyed our stay here, and would recommend it for anyone looking for a laid back, comfortable and very affordable place to stay.
