Reviewed By hoffyrnI was pleasantly surprised to see how modern the rooms were in this hotel. We stayed in the building that is not attached to office. It was very clean. I would def. Stay here again. It's also very close to the beach so you can just walk over. We came off season but I can only imagine how fun this town is in the summer.

I especially loved Casey at the front desk. boy is she right on top of things! she really is an excellent multitasker! I watched her in action. The cleaning people were friendly, and accommodating. I could view the ocean from my balcony. The beds were clean and comfortable. i took off one star because, I agree with the other reviewers that the place could use an update furniture wise.

There is a liquor store and restaurants 1/2 Block away. The pool is open 10 to 9 everyday. Free coffee in lobby . At night it got cool and there was a nice fire pit going. I would definitely stay here again. It was my second visit and it was a great time ! Highly recommend!

Ants wifi sucks couldnt get unless we were in the so called deck cable ya ok no dirty towels very unhappy shame on them pay for ice. dirty curtain in kitchen, rusty hangers. Don’t look at the pictures on the site and expect that because u will not. The place was a disgrace I was so embarrassed that I brought my grandchildren there. I could go one and on. Outside is cluttered look behind hotel piles of garbage I have pictures also !! Very shameful

Reviewed By marymJ8117GMWe were looking for a quick beach get away for just the two of us. We didn’t need anything extravagant, just something clean to lay our heads. This place was a hidden gem! We were able to park the car (although it was very tight parking) and we did not have to move it. We were able to walk to and from the beach/boardwalk within minutes. (Super plus for two 20-something individuals who were able to enjoy the night life) They let us check in a tad early which was super generous and the rooms were above expectations. Clean, comfortable and enough pillows (6 total). Beds were comfortable and the AC was nice and cold. There was some sort of parade and a group of people enjoying their time- with the air conditioner you couldn’t hear them. We didn’t care much anyway. Family friendly environment with the pool. We did not visit the pool on this occasion. Although a tad pricey, it was worth it for us to be so close to the boardwalk and for us to get back safely without having to worry about an Uber/Lyft or one of us getting behind the wheel.

A Good Place to Stay in Wildwood

We chose this hotel due to the close proximity to the Convention Center, and it was a good choice for us! They also had a special rate for the Fabulous 50's and Beyond Weekend, which included one free breakfast at the Key West Cafe. It turned out that there were very few restaurants open for breakfast in Wildwood, so we ate there both mornings. The Hotel is in a great location, close to the boardwalk, within walking distance of the Convention Center and restaurants. It was very clean and you could tell that they take care of it. The kitchen looked brand new and was beautiful. The bathroom was nice and the tub looked new, however the sink and toilet were very outdated and could stand to be replaced. It was great that there were grab bars in the bathtub, which you usually only find in Handicap Accessible rooms. There is not much room in there to put toiletries, etc. And my biggest complaint in all hotels is that there are not enough hooks in the bathroom and this one was no different. The beds were comfortable. There is an odd couch/bed in the living room, which would be nice for kids, however it is very uncomfortable to sit on to watch T.V. There is a safe in the closet which was a nice addition. We enjoyed our stay there and out of all of the places to stay in Wildwood it was definitely one of the nicer hotels. It also had a elevator which we didn't use as we were on the first floor, but it was another reason that we chose the hotel. Wildwood is not known for it's 5 Star Hotels, so if you go there expecting that, you will be disappointed. If you want a clean, centrally located, reasonably priced hotel, then this is where you should stay in Wildwood.

We still have the same amazing location! On top of that!! The Rus Mar is under new management and has been totally renovated! Each room has new fixtures, beds, linens, and paint throughout! A fridge, microwave,and coffee pot is standard in every room. Some rooms are also efficiency units with stovetop cooking. You can still see the ocean from our rooms! Come stay with us! We remain pet friendly!
CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS MOTEL!
Reviewed By 616lorrainepI initially booked a room at the Rio motel because the reviews were good, the rooms looked clean from the photos and they were pet friendly. When I arrived to check in I had to go to the Rus Mar motel which is owned by the same people. When I found out that the rooms on the ground floor were all kitchenettes and the room I had booked was on the second floor I was concerned because my dog can't climb a lot of steps which means I would have had to carry her up and down. Even though she is a small dog it would have been very difficult for me to navigate the steps while carrying her. I asked if I could change my booking to a ground floor room at the Rus Mar. The owner accommodated me right away. The room was very clean and included a small fridge, a microwave oven and, although I didn't have need for it, 2 stove top burners. There were also pots, pans, utensils, a coffee maker and a toaster. There were ample clean towels in the bathroom. The sheets were crisp and fresh and there were plenty of pillows. There was a flat screen TV that appeared to have a lot of cable channels. While it was nothing fancy, it was very comfortable and clean. My daughter was a participant in a competition at the the convention center, which was a five minute walk away, so I had booked for two nights. I had asked if I could extend my check out time from 10:30 am to around 2 pm until the competition was over and was told that would be no problem. Everyone I had contact with there (the owners) were helpful, polite and went out of their way to make sure my stay was a pleasant one. I would like to thank Priya, Ali and Kushi (sp?) for their kindness and understanding and to let them know that if I get the chance to come back to Wildwood I will definitely stay at the Rus Mar motel!
