Staff feedback and stay

Great place to visit and I had a great time only downfall is, I do appreciate all that the staff do under the circumstances but they can be rude at times. It’s disappointing to see that staff get of the ferry drunk and their behaviour is very poor. It certainly is not classy. It’s disgusting to see an old man hanging around young people especially the woman. If they weren’t acting with this behaviour perhaps their customer service would be better. The breakfast chef always looks hung over. Overall enjoyed my time and would come again

Just returned after a wonderful week at the Beach Club holidaying with 6 couples. A perfect resort to relax, chill and enjoy special times with friends. A big thank-you to Gina for trying her best to get most couples on the ground floor in a row. We really appreciated the Beach Club allowing our group to use the Library on three evenings. The service at the Beach Club is exceptional, always accommodating to our requests with a smile. The location of the resort is superb, swimming in the pool looking directly at the beach. We loved seeing the wildlife around the resort as well. Half the group stayed at the Beach Club last year and after hearing our raving reviews another 3 couples were very keen to join us this year. And they were not disappointed, they loved it. Thank-you to all the staff especially to Gina, Abbey and Jackson.

Loved it - Hawaii in Australia

Loved it. The property and facilities are immaculate. While the staff are young, friendly and warm. We preferred that to pretentious snooty service which you see at other resorts. We appreciated that if there were any errors staff were dedicated to fix them in friendly way immediately. This is a pricey resort. But you get beautiful rooms, pools, delicious food and an idealic beach. We loved the snorkeling trip with colourful fishes & coral, peddleboards and hanging out at the quit beach. The tennis coach Bargav runs fantastic fun tennis activities - you may need to request him. I hope next time the new recreation centre is better utilised for organised group activities. - why not set soccer or basketball activities too? As it is under utilised. While Yoga should be set up a regular time for easy access. The Activities Timetable is clunky and not easily accessible. This is paradise with a warm relaxed vibe. We shall Return!

We originally booked for October 2021, but had to cancel that due to Covid restrictions (QLD government rule; made us unable to travel to QLD). We rebooked for April 2022, fingers and toes were crossed and voila, we finally made it back at the Hamilton Island. We booked the Garden View room which was great because this room was actually fully renovated. Didn't mind being on 4th floor. Yes, the place was busy but hey, everybody had a great time. Weather was not the best but no one could control that. We would love to be back. We love Hammo!!

Fantastic service and attention

Reviewed By Kenneth W

We stayed for 2 weeks at these apartments. The staff were always happy to assist with anything at all and we noticed nothing was an effort to them. Initially we had a small problem in the room and we asked the staff at reception if they had forms for us to fill in to let them know of any problems, they just said no forms you just need to let us know and we will write it down here. She wrote a note on what seemed to be a scrap of paper and we just thought we had been fobbed off. About an hour later a maintenance person knocked on our door and the issue was sorted. The apartments are not brand new but they make a point of fixing any visitor issues as soon as possible. Like most places on the island there is an ongoing maintenance and renovation program which keeps the apartments at a good standard. The views straight across the beach were magnificent and would not hesitate to visit here again.

Each bungalow is located perfectly close to resort amenities and features a hammock out the front for the perfect way to catch up on a good book or two. There is also a parking space for a buggy if you decide to hire one and there are basic cooking facilities if you don't feel like eating at one of the restaurants.

There are simply no words to describe this beautiful eco friendly island resort apart from paradise. From the minute our helicopter landed, we knew we were in a very special place indeed. The stunning location, well maintained villas, delicious all inclusive meals and first class service made this trip very memorable. 1) Location: 10 villas with amazing views of the ocean on this exclusive island. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Deck chairs to soak up the sun, swings on each villa patio. Paddle boards, kayaks and snorkeling equipments including stinger and wet suits, reef walkers at our disposal. Hiking trails recommended for those more adventurous. Yoga each morning with Stevie or Alice was a hit with many guests. Yes the Wi-Fi is a bit patchy yet a perfect opportunity to digitally detox and enjoy this stunning location. 2) Villas: modern and beautifully appointed with large screen TV, A/C, coffee machine and bluetooth speakers. Super comfortable beds. Minibar stocked daily with drinks and snacks throughout our stay. Villas maintained so well. Twice daily housekeeping done so discretely and efficiently whilst we dined at the restaurant. We always returned to a spotless villa each morning after breakfast and as we retired every evening. Mosquito plugs and sprays supplied by the resort made these small problems completely bearable and not a big issue for us. The outside private shower with rain head was a wonderful touch to the north facing villas. 3) All inclusive chef selected gourmet meals were a definite highlight. Hats off to Chefs Jack, Ethan and Devan! We felt completely honored to be part of an amazing culinary journey with every meal. It was fine dining at its finest. Each dish was not only delicious but presented so beautifully. Every meal was outstanding. Pre dinner drinks and canapés around the firepit was always a wonderful way to start the evening, meeting other guests. 4) Service: This is what sets Elysian aside from any other resort we have been to. The Elysian team made us feel like we were family and no request was ever too difficult. This small team of hardworking staff who not only work so well together, but have a genuine interest in making each guest feel so welcome and special. Bunny, Alice and Emma mainly looked after us during our stay. They each took such a personal interest, going that extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect in every way. Genuinely kind and thoughtful young ladies. Elysian are blessed to have them. Rick in charge of water activities is a true gem and absolute gentleman. He has a natural charm, the most sincere and gentle nature and radiates this contagious positive energy. And what a wealth of knowledge he has on survival. We could have chatted to him all day listening to his life experiences and words of wisdom. We thoroughly enjoyed his star gazing session after dinner under the twinkling night sky. Beautiful Neryl at the spa worked her magic hands to deliver the most relaxing massages we’ve had. Such an amazing lady, not only technically brilliant but has a grace and serenity about her, that makes you instantly feel at ease. Shout out also to Kevin, Ivanna, Josh, Louise, Sarah and Stevie. Such a wonderful team of superstars who made our stay just perfect. We cannot wait to return for our second visit to paradise. Until then we will carry a piece of Elysian with us always.

Not what you expect

Reviewed By I1660QXandrewm

My Wife booked this property cause it looked great from the website of Hamo Island villas Oasis Unit 24. For $700 per night you would expect the place to be cleaned and presentable. As you can see from my photos the place is lacking big time the cleanliness and functionality. The lounges are all stained and soiled inside and the outside ones were the same. The exhaust fans throughout the unit had dust caked up on them. The fan blades were also covered in dust and aircons filters were covered also. The light fixtures are inside and out are all rusted. The bathrooms have mould in the grout and under the lips of the shower screens and doors. The second bathroom shower door didn't close correctly cause it was off the track. Outside balcony was scattered with animal poo ?. The oven hasn't been cleaned in such a long time as there was build up of grease and fat. The walls throughout the whole villa have marks and stains. The other thing also they don't supply any little body wash, shampoo and conditioners but they do give you 2 small pieces of soap. The master bed is absolutely terrible to sleep on as its hard as a rock and bows to the centre. The pillows and linen are really budget from target. One of the quilts had stains all over it. My wife and I ended up moving out of the master to the other bedroom for the rest of our stay as we couldn't sleep on that mattress. At night the lights outside to get to the property didn't work. Was really dangerous cause you couldn't see the steps you had to climb up and down. I spoke to a girl I saw at the poolnarea who worked for the company and said she would get someone to fix it asap. That night we left for dinner and 2 of the 3 lights worked when we left but once we came home they weren't working again. Was lucky my wife or daughter never hurt themselves. Also a massive big hole is right as you come towards the main entrances to the units. The pool area is very small and no seating or tables. Only 2 sunlounges are in the area.
