Best Spot in Town!

Reviewed By pamhQ9235XZ

This is a fishing town. It has hard working people working on boats fishing and then selling. There isn’t anything glamorous about this town. Just hard working folks. The Inn was fantastic. Our room was super clean and very nice. We enjoyed walking around looking at the sites. We had burgers and drinks at the Knotty Pine Tavern. The owner and his wife run the local bar. We sat at the bar. If you sit at a stable you have to walk to the bar to order food or drinks. Just the 2 of them running the place. Back to the Inn. We had an actual bedroom that had a little fireplace heater as it was cooler in the evening. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space. Newer vinyl wood flooring. The shower and tub were great. We had a huge window looking towards the ocean. Easy city to walk around. Smells strongly of fish. Local camping was popular. We had a fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. The shower has a heat lamp incase you are cold but it also has a small window if you want fresh air. I highly recommend this inn. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

Clean and updated, but a few things to be aware of

Reviewed By PJMtraveller

Stayed 2 nights. Probably the nicest hotel in Westport. It is a small town, easy to get around. My room was clean (seemed freshly painted), updated furnishings and electric door locks. Bedsheets were very comfortable. Towels were nice. Room had a microwave, refrigerator (with freezer compartment), and Keurig coffee maker. The bed was a platform style. Had I been any shorter than my 5'5", I probably would have needed a step stool to get on it. If you have mobility concerns, you should ask about the bed. TV was streaming only, no broadcast. If you connect your device, remember to log out when you leave! This property has an elevator, much appreciated as I was on the 3rd floor. At the time of my stay, housekeeping services were not available. Hotel charges a "resort fee" that I was not able to avoid. I didn't use the pool or other amenities, so that was a negative to me. Be aware, no matter where you stay in Westport, many visitors get up very early to go fishing, expect to have a bit of noise between 3am and 5am.

Super cute

Loved this place! The furnishings are modern and new, no unnecessary frills. The mini kitchen/dining area was a huge plus. It was clean and affordable. The communication through emails and texts were timely and informative. There’s parking right outside the room. My one complaint is that the cable tv only had one channel on it—golf. And internet connectivity was too low to stream a Netflix or Hulu. Despite this, I would still recommend LOGE as an excellent place to stay around Westport! It’s a great value for such a cute and clean place to lay your head down.

Enjoyable ?????

Reviewed By Imissnick

Such a great place, small, cozy, nicely decorated. Really good shower with good water pressure. Hubby says it has the best coffee he’s ever had in a hotel room and that is even with powdered cream. Very comfortable beds, kind staff, microwave popcorn ? in the room (I’ve never had that anywhere). Really enjoyed ourselves.

great price, excellent location

Reviewed By H3170BKsabinew

There was no room service on the first day and minimal service on the second; radio and hair dryer were broken, moldings were ripped out, bathroom floor was wilting, fan and shower were filthy, the wood floors were new but otherwise rooms really need to be updated; they are in the process of renovating so perhaps wait until that's done...

Glenacres Historic Inn

Straddling the narrow divide between unspoiled ocean beaches and quieter inland coastal waters of Grays Harbor, it situates ideally as a water going adventure town - whether by surf board, charter boat, pleasure craft or tall ships of yesteryear. Between these shores The Glenacres Inn bridges another divide to a bygone era when steam and tall sail ships moored at Peterson Landing on its shores, across rolling meadow lands that overlook Grays Harbor. All but the pier posts are gone but the spirit of that regional economic heyday lives on in the elegance the inn’s design, rising over and central to the quaint seafaring community the grew up around it. Center your coastal adventure and frolic at The Glenacres Inn. Lose yourself along the beaches by day and find your way back to the serenity of our acres and simple elegance of rooms that reflect the inn’s character and design. Be carried by the scent of salt air and lulling foghorn cadence to restful nights and bright beginnings.

The other reviewers are right!

We reviewed our options here on TripAdvisor. Those remarks were more than right. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable and the staff friendly. The morning scones, fruit & coffee were more than enough to get our day started. Just as the name says, this is a historic old farm home converted into guest housing. So the rooms are not huge. The bathroom and shower stall are snug.

Stay Somewhere Else

Wish I paid more attention to recent negative reviews: one of my worst motel stays ever. Reserved for two nights but had to leave after one because of excessive noise, but manager insisted on charging full amount. Beware the stringent change and cancellation policies! If you like dated decor (think 1970s), skimpy toiletries, the flimsiest toilet paper you've ever seen, and rude management--this place is for you. Otherwise, stay somewhere else.

STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE !

Reviewed By travellingcritics

After realizing we booked the wrong place, we tried to cancel 20 MINUTES after doing so. NO REFUND. So we decided to go anyway . Was suppose to be our 17th wedding anniversary "getaway". When we arrived, we couldn't believe how run down the place was. "We paid $307 for this for 2 nights?" . The 'receptionist' was mildly pleasant and gave us our keys. Now for the fun part... shower floor had some 'residue' on it , a few bugs had taken up residence in various corners (not excluding the moth on the floor by the shower), old rusty hinges on the doors , no A/C , heat controls ? , enough coffee for 1 cup each , and a toilet that didn't flush right. The place looked absolutely run-down and outdated. On our 2nd day, management called to tell us not to 'mess with' the center knob on the shower because it controlled water temperature for the upstairs room... what the ? Speaking of upstairs...it sounded like a herd of Elephants when the upstairs guests walked around .. until wee hours of the night. The restaurant/bar were closed 'indefinitely' , the 'patio' area with 'BBQ' didn't look safe. Access to the dock area was blocked by (3) solid fences and even the office smelled musty. Sadly the once nice Islander is in such disrepair, a proper tear-down and rebuild is warranted...OH...and it's up FOR SALE.. The pictures in their ads are old and presently misleading... In closing , we didn't stay our second night and 'ate' the 1 night cost. Fortunately found a room at another , much nicer , Hotel close by... The Islander has developed a poor reputation over the years since new ownership. Sad , because growing up in Westport and personally knowing Neddie, the condition her beloved hotel in is a slap in the face. Especially when they claim what it isn't. I'd give ZERO stars if i could. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE STAY THERE ! Highly recommend a different place for travelers
