Has the magnificent view of Ella gap Easy access to the shops ,restaurants, railway station in town and tourist attractions Staff is polite and ready to help when ever needed. (Specially Sanjeewa) Food is simple but delicious and beautifully presented and the menu has lots of selections for everyone . The view from the room window gives the feeling that you are looking at all the beauty of Ella from the edge of the sky.. the Little Adams peak, Ella gap, Ella rock and waterfall is in front of You! It is really very inspiring. Rooms are big, clean. There is a large balcony and very good and large beds :) It's nice that the staff always asked how we were doing, the small technical problems were fixed immediately.

Reviewed By joeldowlandStayed here for 2 nights. Amazing location with stunning views. Short walk into the main bit of the town. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were big with mosquito nets over the beds. Only negatives were the restaurant was expensive compared with the prices in the town and Sri-Lanka in general and they advertise daily Yoga without giving a price on the boards so it appears that it is free but you get charged 2000 rupees when you check out. Reception say they tell you the price when you check in but I still think they should have the price on the boards where they advertise it.

A unique location where you can relax, in true hill-country style bungalow and Eco friendly colonial style boutique hotel. The climate is rated as one of the best in Sri Lanka - cool evenings and warm days offer a respite from the heat of the coastal resorts and is enjoyed by many Sri Lankans as well as foreign visitors. We are high up here at 1000 meters surrounded by the vast panoramas of the Ella Gap. Karandagolla is slightly lower down than the cooler tea gardens of Badulla giving us a more tropical air and richer variety of exotic plants and fauna. There is much wild country to explore on foot. "Cooking course in our own kitchen" Many and varied excursions can be arranged. The more active may engage with nature by climbing Little Adams Peak or visiting our local organic tea plantation. Alternatively you can just chill out and enjoy the fine food and comfort of the 'Bungalow', sip chilled drinks on the verandah of an evening, stroll in the grounds or slump in a hammock!
Tranquil paradise in Ella

The food was delicious and the chef made modifications to suit our taste. portions were generous. The prices of food, beverages and laundry were very reasonable! This place is away from the touristy Ella just the way we wanted it. it was also cool to see the troop of monkeys that regularly visit. Getting to Ella town is easy- they even have their own rickshaw! Would strongly recommend it!

We have 7 rooms - 5 rooms + 2 cottages (TV + minibar) and a restaurant. Our property is ca 4000 square meters and offers enough space to relax. We are just off the A23 between Wellawaya and Ella at km 16. Bus stop is right next to our entry. 4 km to Ravana waterfall. WIFI in public areas, cottages ..... you are welcome to enjoy a massage. Make an appointment!

The hotel host was very kind, spokes fluent english and organised us some nice trips in ella. The hotel itself is very nice. It has a beautiful garden and the view is outstanding. Sadly there were no pool. The double room apartments are for the price range very good! Big, clean, nice beds with mosquito nets and two balconies. The food was also very delicious! Important note: the apartment is around 25 minutes from ella. So you have to take a tuktuk every time. When your okay with the distance I can highly recommend to stay at the feelin good resort!

You can order breakfast from the special breakfast menu and everything we tried was very tasty. We enjoyed other meals aswell and always had great service with great food. You must meet especially Mr. Ajith who is the heart of this hotel. He had the best stories, trip advices, recommendations and we became good friends with him in four days! The incredible views over a mountainous paradise paired with the lavish rooms give Serenite a serene boutique feel. Only a five minute tuk tuk away from the main town, Serenite is a must stay when in Ella. The all included breakfast is also delicious - especially the Dahl and sambal!

Cleanest and most beautiful room I've ever booked in Asia, and still it's affordable. The family was such a lovely bunch, who invited us to a family party, to experience their traditions, wonderful experience! Ruwan the owner is a former chef, so the included breakfast was outrageously good and different every morning. I will definitely come back to this place

Reviewed By mir-slava05The room was clean, tidy in moder but at the same time rustic style. Beds were comfy kids had bunk bed and loved it. Shower good with constant hot water. Location is perfect. Not to close to main busy street with bars and restaurants. Will take around 10 min to walk there. The same as for nine arch Bridge or Ravana flying club, however tuk tuk will help to reach those places. Breakfast was good enough, fresh and tasty. Thank you for pleasant stay.
