Reviewed By rachaelmW9651YYWhile the roaches should be enough to keep you away, there were other issues with this hotel. For the price, you can stay in a much cleaner and nicer place. Look around before booking in Turlock, CA. Read reviews and listen to the advice of the reviewers. The pool was dirty. The remote for the TV did not work unless you were right in front of it. The roaches came out at night!!! And we saw a few in shower when we left the next morning. I regret booking a stay here. Most of all when I told the desk attendant during check out, they didn't seem surprised. Great! So you knew you had roaches and don't really seem to care about the overall experience of your patrons. Really, go somewhere else.

Reviewed By pacwest24This hotel is convenient and rooms are clean. But the Ice Machine was broken on first floor. The front desk did have someone get me ice which I appreciated as I have Fibromyalgia and could not go up a floor to get it. The Hall Carpet is extremely dirty! They need to bring back Hot Breakfast like Best Western has. The choices were not enough or satisfactory. The staff was extremely nice and helpful however and this review is nothing against them!

Reviewed By pacpalisadesFront desk is very pleasant and professional Room is very clean The breakfast offered is horrible- Desk clerk stated that 'due to COVID...' which is understandable but there was very limited choices- no toast or bagels Country Inn and Suites in Fresno where I stayed the previous night was excellent-and offered a decent breakfast- nothing fancy but a nice balance of choices (Country Inn was also about the same price point as Comfort Suites) Recommend the Hampton Inn in Turlock for future reference- a bit more expensive but worth it There is a Starbucks close by on Main St in Turlock- recommend going there if staying at the Comfort Suites

Reviewed By luvatlI don’t know how this hotel is being run, but it seems like they don’t train any of their staff at all. I booked a reward stay for 8 nights and called the hotel to amend this (as stated in my booking). I was told there would be no charge for amending this and was told there is nothing to pay when I checked in. Well a month goes by and I get a $195 charge without any notice or explanation. The hotel was very unhelpful and refused to refund me for their error. Absolutely useless. Not to mention they didn’t clean the rooms at all in the 8 nights we were there. They took the garbage out once. They state they clean after a certain number of days but that’s a lie. We asked for the garbage to be taken out and clean towels after day 4 and nothing was done. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Dirty bed linens, management unresponsive
Reviewed By braicavAfter checking in late in the evening, we had the unpleasant surprise of finding the pillows and bed linens full of hairs, suggesting that the linens had not been changed from the prior guest (although the bed was made up). The person at the front desk was very helpful in providing me a new set of linens, which we had to change ourselves since we checked in late in the evening. I sent management an email with multiple photos of all the hairs on the bedding and expressed concern about paying full price for a room that was not clean and where I had to change bed linens myself late at night. The only response I received was a call from the front desk the next day offering to take $20 off of my rate. I indicated that that was not an adequate response to the situation, and resent my email with the photos and again requested a response from management. It has now been two weeks, and I have still not received any response.

Reviewed By Thomas BLarge room, decent vanity, microwave, minifridge, air conditioner and heater good, incredibly nice clerks, fantastic parking in front of units, unique center island patio with night colored lights (see picture), shower is fine, bed is fine, hair dryer, shampoo, and absolutely incredible breakfast. I got a large waffle made and also the famous banana crepe which is huge! They also have oranges, bread, cereal, and juice. The price was very reasonable. The only negative was they require a $50 deposit which is to prevent smoking...it is returned the next morning if made in cash after an inspection of the room.

We're just off Highway 99, five minutes from downtown shops, dining, and the Carnegie Arts Center. Cal State Stanislaus is four miles away, and Modesto is 20 minutes from us. Cool off in our outdoor pool, or curl up on the patio by our fire pit. Our combined fitness/laundry area keeps routines going away from home. Breakfast is free, and our market is always open.
Atrocious pet fee ruins a nice, albeit pricey property

This is not an inexpensive hotel, with typical nightly rates in the $140-$160 range, and this isn’t enough for them? They feel the need to bend you over for 50% more. Hotels always use the excuse of it being a cleaning fee. So you don’t clean the room properly if the previous guest didn’t have a dog? Sounds to me like I’m better off in a room where there was a dog previously so you actually clean it properly. And of course, service dogs have no fee, these dogs evidently being of the magically clean variety. Actually, it’s because they know it would be in poor taste to charge such a fee for a service dog. Turns out it’s in poor taste no matter what. The truth is, even if they do clean it differently, no cost is incurred in doing so. This fee is a “because we can” fee, and it’s a slap in the face. You want to tack on ten bucks to make yourself feel better, you do it. But 75 sends a clear message that if a guest has a dog, they aren’t welcome here. How dare they call this “pet friendly”. They should be ashamed of this fee.

Reviewed By zwied33To start with the good; the staff was very friendly and helpful. I had an internet issue and they fixed it for me quickly. I like that your kitchen implements are already in the room and you don't have to request them as in so many suites these days. The location is very good. Lots of quick restaurants and a big Safeway very close by. The Wifi was so-so. Speeds definitely vary, but by and large it's better than many hotels who want to charge you $5 a day for the privilege of having better than dial up speeds. The water pressure was decent. Linens and terris were just fine, The bad: If you are used to sleeping on any kind of modern bed, beware. I can only describe their beds as "very firm" in that a spring sticking into your ribs might feel a bit firm. The computer chairs are horribly uncomfortable. If you spend a lot of time working on your computer during the work day, like I do, bring a pillow to sit on or something. It made me long for a standing desk. All around I'm sad to say I'm going to try another suite in town while I'm there for work for the next few weeks.
