The room was very clean and I liked the modern feel of it even though it’s a historical building. Great breakfast right across the street and discounts for staying there. Great service, good value
Reviewed By MokelcaWe really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We stayed here for 2 nights in the middle of a 2.5 week long road trip through California's National/State Parks. Check in was super easy. Our room was very large with a couch and a fireplace. The room was really clean. It snowed the first night we were there, which wound up closing I-80 and several of the other roads in the area so we spent the whole day in the room as we didn't have chains or 4wd (rental car) and we actually enjoyed ourselves despite being stuck in. They also graciously told us we could have a late check out if we needed to on the day we left in case we wanted to leave later to due to road conditions. Breakfast was also pretty good. Pretty good value for the size of our room, and all of the staff were fantastic. Would definitely recommend!

Reviewed By 994maiyalThis hotel is the best! Loved the setting. Loved the cookie upon arrival. Super clean and staff goes out of their way to help you. The rooms were spacious and the bed was amazing! Loved sitting on the balcony looking out at the aspen trees.

One example of many - Had to wait more than an hour at the restaurant for breakfast only to walk away with a grab and go bag with one parfait, one fruit cup and 2 crescent rolls for a family of 3. When asked if we could at least get some butter toast we had to wait another 20 mins only to get this- see picture.

A 4 star property should have bell available (not bell service), room service, laundry service, housekeeping without a fee, decent attitude, responsive reservation staff, etc — this property has NONE of the above. You will receive better service if you stayed at Best Western or better attitude at even a 2-star property! To top that off they scam you into not reading the fine lines and you cannot, for the first time in my life, even upgrade your reservation by paying the difference! They also have very dated appliance and their room DID NOT look like the picture advertised and I suspect the room size is much smaller than the advertised 400sqft, and nor is the bed a real King. Their kitchen in the studio is so small they kept the utensil and the KNIVES in an unlocked, GROUND LEVEL cabinet so BEWARE if you have kids. I will NEVER come back here again and nor will any of my family and friends if I can help it. What a rip off.

Reviewed By janet-10-12Good front desk staff at check in. Beware a $10 parking fee will be added. We had an accessible room on the first floor. I liked the wide doorways but a heavy sliding door to the bathroom would be difficult for a wheelchair user to close. Trundle bed could accommodate up to two kids or short adults, assuming no squirming or kicking. Room tip: if you are sensitive to highway noise, ask for a room on the side away from I-80.

Welcome to the Inn at Truckee! We are a conveniently located hotel in Truckee, CA situated within minutes of Donner Lake, Lake Tahoe, Downtown Truckee and numerous world class ski resorts. We offer a very competitive rate, nice & clean rooms, free continental breakfast, friendly staff and numerous dining options within walking distance. In addition, we are one of the only pet friendly hotels in Truckee! The magnificent Sierra Mountains is a fantastic getaway! The serenity of the snow covered mountains in the winter and the sweet smells of the sun drenched forest in the summer, there is no place like our mountain oasis.
Getting worse on multiple counts
Reviewed By snoyogiThe Best Western is a much better place to stay. The outlet in the bathroom did not work There is not a comfortable chair in any of the rooms or lobby. The wifi disconnects every three minutes. Whatever cleaning materials they are using in the common areas, it smells bad The location is good.
