Reviewed By annemkelly4We spent a week in Tossa de Mar in May and it was our first visit to the Costa Brava, We did quite a bit of research on places to stay as Tossa de Mar has an abundance of hotels and places to stay, in the end we decided to stay in the ‘ Golden Bahia ‘on a half - board basis and we definitely made the right decision as it surpassed all our expectations . The beautiful hotel and town are only a 40 minute journey from Girona Airport. This is a beautiful hotel only about a ten minute stroll to the old town and the castle which has such wonderful views out to sea , the old town itself has so many lovely restaurants, it is truly an idyllic place. The rooms in the hotel were lovely and spacious and kept spotlessly clean, the pool area was lovely with plenty of sun beds and the sports pool and kiddies boat/ slide pool were at one end which made it lovely if you just wanted to lie by the pool and read a book in the pool area nearer the restaurants. We travel occasionally and I can honestly say the food in the hotel was fantastic both at breakfast and in the evening where there were many choices and the chef also show cooking in the evenings.. One of the best parts of this hotel were the amazing staff which make you feel so welcome, don’t want to single out anyone really but we had most dealings with Ferran & Simon at reception whom were so helpful, Jose and Anna in restaurant , Angel and Ray in the bars, Ester who looked after our room , thanking you and the rest of the staff for making our holiday so memorable. A special word of thanks to Ferran for all his correspondence prior to our visit . We will definitely be returning to ‘Golden Bahia’ and will be recommending to all our family and friends, thanking you all again for a wonderful relaxing break Anne and Mike , Ireland

Reviewed By MichelleSFDeWe were (3) 30+ women staying in the penthouse suite for 3 nights. We have never stayed in such a luxurious suite! Our suite had 2 floors, 2 bathrooms and 3 separate terraces to lounge on. The hotel is gorgeous, the staff is friendly and the included breakfast is really fantastic. We’ve never felt so pampered. If the penthouse suite is free, book it! You will not regret it. The views of the sea and the privacy is affords is second to none. Treat yourself! We’ll be talking about this stay for a very, very long time! Thank you Hotel Diana!

Reviewed By Jasmine MWe had a fantastic time on our honeymoon. The hotel was beautiful, clean with all modern features. The shower was very nice, the maids cleaned the room daily. They gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne for our honeymoon. The best thing about this hotel was its location. Upgrading to the sea view room is 100% worth the extra money it was stunning. A 30 second walk to the smaller menuda beach and a pleasent 5-10 minute stroll into the main town

Breakfast was good with great choice. The staff were exceptional, very thoughtful and gave us a surprise Cave! We would recommend and stay again.

Reviewed By becky yThis is a beautiful hotel, lovely and quiet and in a lovely cove. My main complaint is that unfortunately the hotel is let down by resturant choices. There is one buffet resturant and 2 beach side restaurants however we have been here for 3 days now and one of them has not been open once therefore leaving you with your only option of the one restursnt which serves a couple of pizzas and pasta dishes and fried chicken and chips - not what your expecting for a Spanish hotel.

The hotel design is modern, practical and cozy. It has an outdoor heated pool and outdoor hot tubs located 400 meters from the beach and in the center of Tossa.

Reviewed By 784catherinerHotel was very clean. Staff super friendly. We stayed for a week half board. Breakfast and dinner both very good. Plenty of choice and fresh cooked fish in evening was excellent. Although the pool is not massive there was always plenty of room around it and the two roof top terraces were always quite. Very near the beach and shops. We will definitely be returning very good value for money.

Spotlessly clean everywhere, modern interior, friendly staff, amazing breakfast buffet of high quality, everything you need in your room including complementary soft drinks in the fridge, centrally located, on site parking, sun beds and loungers around a beautiful pool. Rooms a little small but well laid out with good lighting. Excellent shower, plenty of hot water. I could go on! If you are coming to Tossa this is the place to stay.

Great Hotel for Families

We loved it, so close to the main beach that was never really that busy, close to many lovely little resturants and tapas bars. Room was ok, bit basic but provided everything that the 4 of us needed. The Hotel Pool is nice, it is located on the 8th floor (sort of) and is an absolute suntrap, it catches the sun the moment it is up untill it falls again late evening. The hotel is mainly spanish, but we loved it, the Hotel entertinment did everything they could to keep the kids happy, I see alot of complaints in the reviews about the staff only speaking spanish and the clubs spanish only. As soon as we mentioned our boys only spoke english they always went out of their way to make sure they translated everything so they could understand and join in. We went halfboard and upon check in was told we could alternate between lunch and dinner if we wanted to. Breakfast = Great choice, Lunch was nice the few times we went Dinner was hit and miss, Meats and fish served everyday. Overall this hotel was fantastic, friendly staff, clean rooms, great great location.
