Lost its way
Reviewed By mikerosenberg2201I have stayed at Boi Taull Resort a number of times over the years and have taken my family to the Apartments since my girls were children. The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable but the management seems to have allowed the family nature of the place slip away. We will not be going back. On New Year's Eve we were next to a group of young adults (mid twenties maybe) who partied hard unitl 4:00 AM making it impossible to sleep. One could argue that it was a special night but this group was only at the place for 24 hours and only came to party. Two nights later the room was occupied by professional rugby players who were literally wrestling at 1:00 Am! In the past, the only sound you would hear in the lace was a baby crying. It is really a pity that the current management has not kept the family nature of the place. The hotel is an easy 10 minutes drive from a great, small ski station which is again great for kids and still has a few challenging runs for adults. An added problem is that the new boilers in the rooms are badly adjusted so that the water never really got hot even though we had the mtc. techs in twice. The problem has to do with the freezing cold water which comes in from the street. The entire complex was on the verge of bankruptcy last year but rather than fixing things, it seems the management is just letting it keep running. The only bright spot is that many of the staff members are truly nice people and did their best for us although one got the feeling that they were doing more out of their own sense of service than any support from management.

A very good choice in Taüll !
Reviewed By carla12We spent 3 nights in this nice hotel which it is situated just a few meters of the famous St Climent church.The rooms are spacious with a balcony,we found the bed a littel bit hard (we prefer the softer beds). The breakfast buffet is exellent.Everybody is very helpful and friendly.There is a nice room with a fire place and sofas to read or just relax.It has also a terrase and a gratis parking infront of the door. There are restaurants in a walking distance.We enjoyed two nice short walks to a great view points.We can really recomment this hotel,we had a very nice stay.This hotel diserves one star more !

Charming, small, clean guest house with views and helpful management
Reviewed By Discover48962464413This small hotel is absolutely charming. It has only four rooms and we came off-season so it was quiet. Antonia, the manager, Is extremely helpful and plied us with maps and restaurant recommendations. We came to walk in the national park and enjoy the fresh air and we loved coming back after hiking and sitting in the garden reading and looking at the view. The rooms are small but have everything (wooden hangers) and are impeccably clean. There’s a nice living room with a fireplace. Breakfast is served on the top floor and is generous with homemade cake, bread with tomato, cheese, cold cuts, fruit, yogurt and omelette . We took our leftovers to eat for lunch while hiking. Hiking is easy as you drive to the national Park and there’s a taxi service in to where the walks start. There are also plenty of villages with medieval churches to visit. It took us four hours to drive here from Barcelona airport. I know Spain well but not this lovely corner of the Catalan Pyrenees. I highly recommend.

How every hostel should be!
Reviewed By 868edStayed here on my own in the second week of September, which was very quiet. The hostel's location is ideal as a base to explore NP Aigüestortes's west side. The rooms were very clean and cozy with a modern bathroom, lockers and a nice view of the town and valley. The staff was very friendly and provided hiking information. Breakfast was very decent and included local products. Great experience!

Between seasons still good
Reviewed By Chris IMy partner and I wanted to see the snow in November so we went to Pla de l'Ermita above Taull. Unfortunately for us we didn't realise that most of these small resort villages are closed in November, bracing themselves for the ski season! The owner of the hostal was delightful but although she gave us a superb breakfast there was no evening restaurant service in November which we weren't aware of until we got there. Consequently we had to drive to the next town to eat each night. The room was small but comfortable and warm. I'd like to go back in the spring or during the ski season when everything is open!

Perfectly adequate simple hotel
Reviewed By muddysox€40 here will get you a rather compact room with a big double bed and private bathroom, breakfast excluded. The outside of the building, like everywhere in Taüll, looks irresistibly quaint and characterful, but once you get past the dining hall it all quickly becomes strictly functional to say the least -one needs to understand that homeliness and warmth are just not a part of Spanish culture, even in this high altitude very medieval-looking village in the Pyrenees. It is not a fantastic hotel, but then it doesn't market itself as a hotel, but as a pension, and as a pension it cannot be faulted -cleanliness is above any criticism and nothing short of flawless. Spanish-only channels on TV doubtless reflect the market makeup. Price can be perceived as high for the quality, but living in comfort on a remote mountaintop is never cheap; for one night and if no added extras are necessary, it covers all the basics simply yet soundly.

A lovely relaxing weekend
Reviewed By JagXJ40My wife and I, together with our two older children spent a wonderful weekend in this charming rural house situated in the mountain village of Taüll in the Boí valley. Our first visit but it is certainly not our last, what a lovely house and the picturesque village of Taüll completed our stay. Wonderful people there, from the owner / hostess Ines, including the baker’s wife next door to the next door neighbours (also seasonal guests) and the village restaurant and bar also run by the same owners. The hospitality has to be experienced to be believed, the local delicacies are out of this world, and all in all a wonderful place for a few days away from it all. Plenty to see in the close proximity, with lots of scenic walks and wonderful views to be had, but also a perfect place just to chill out and relax. We rented the whole house for ourselves, even though renting individual rooms is possible, but I would imagine this could create problems with the communal sitting room and use of the only kitchen. As I said before we will be definitely going back for another visit and I can highly recommend it.
