Reviewed By dumpe2018We stayed here in August 2016 for a few nights in one of the apartments. There are no lifts so all luggage and shopping had to be laboriously carried up the stairs, and then down the stairs on departure. Ditto daily rubbish. The whole village is hilly with some steps in places to assist. Our apartment had sufficient room for us with a useful washing machine and a clothes line, a large fridge/freezer, cooking rings, crockery and cooking equipment, even proper sized mugs for our tea. Having read previous reviews complaining about tiny cups the owners have taken heed and provided mugs, so next time we will not trouble to pack our own and lug them there. Our bathroom was spacious with towels, shower, lavatory and sink and it was clean and modern. No complaints at all. Far reaching views over the trees to the sierra and horizon from the little balcony where we ate breakfast and early dinner. The bread van hurtles past late morning so fast that by the time we realised what it was and got downstairs to the road we missed him our first day, the next day desperately almost standing in the middle of the road to flag him down. We were given free passes with the apartment rental for and visited the municipal swimming pool daily. It is just outside the village and was refreshing and clean, again with a view, and in the little bar drank cold beer and ate tapas after swimming. We had read that there was supposed to be a weekly street market by the church, but on the due day all that materialised was a household linen stall and another. There is a tiny shop with a charming old fashioned elderly proprietor which had a small offering of fruit and veg as well as some household and toiletry essentials. The butcher's shop seemed rather pricey to us (transport and not many customers?) but although it looked fresh we did not buy in the end. Arab baths to find and visit in the village, and outside the village at either end the castillo atop the hill and also the mini bull ring. There seems to be a hiking trail that led through the village downhill to the next town a few miles away but we did not venture along it. The tourist information centre was open one day. We would like to return and would stay here in these apartments again.

Reviewed By tonyandshell2015This room was great value and had everything we needed for one night. It could do with a bit of an upgrade as the bathroom sink was cracked, but still useable. We were in the red room and had hoped for a view from the window but it was covered completely by a fig tree right outside it! Nevermind, we had fresh figs to eat and only had to walk a bit to see the view from outside! Very good communication with the owners, and breakfast is in their restaurant which is a 5 minute walk away. Very good value. We parked for free on the road above the apartment. This is not a good place to go if you have mobility issues as the town is on the side of a steep hill which you access via lots and lots of steps!! Very quaint town.

Amables, impecable y muy bien situado
Reviewed By kathealveaPaco y su mujer nos recibieron muy amablemente y nos indicaron que rutas tomar para hacer algo de senderismo por la zona. El lugar es impecable y cómodo. Se puede aparcar en coche por unos minutos en la puerta para bajar las maletas. Todas las habitaciones cuentan con baño privado y hay un salón y una cocina común con todas las comodidades para hacer lo básico. Desayuno sencillo incluido en el precio pero con eso nos apañamos bien. Aprovechamos mucho el patio delantero a la casa decorado con muchas macetas y mesas bonitas, ahí comimos todos los días. Volveré

Ideal para una escapadita.
Reviewed By alcotan304Hemos pasado un fin de semana largo en Segura de la Sierra y estos fueron los apartamentos elegidos para alojarnos. Están situados junto a la calle principal del pueblo, lo cual está muy bien. Y se puede aparcar en la misma puerta, diez metros arriba o diez metros abajo en el peor de los casos. Son varios apartamentos distribuidos de formas diferentes. El que a nosotros nos tocó estaba bajando unas escaleritas desde la calle principal, y torciendo en un callejón sin salida, que terminaba justo en la puerta del apartamento. El entorno suelos de piedra y mucha vegetación, parra, macetas, y plantas. Interiormente se accede a un pequeño recibidor. A la derecha el dormitorio principal, con cama de matrimonio, armario empotrado, mesitas de noche, mesa camilla y hamaca. A la izquierda se accede al salón, con chimenea, un sofá cama y la cocina en plan americano, sin separación. La cocina cuenta con nevera, dos fogones de vitro, microondas y tostadora. y por último un cuarto de baño con ducha, lavabo y vater. Ciertamente sólo usamos el apartamento para dormir, pues pasamos todo el día fuera. Es verano y también cuenta con bomba de aire acondicionado. Aunque al ser Sierra corre el fresquito, no obstante la usamos un poco sobre todo al entrar que de todo el día cerrado se notaba. Juego de sábanas para el sofá cama. El agua caliente, había leña para la chimenea, que obviamente a finales de Agosto pues como ni caso. Televisor con pantalla relativamente grande. Ciertamente muy contentos. El apartamento lo usamos dos adultos y un niño. Quizás flaquea en el menaje de cocina, como no cocinamos, no puedo asegurarlo al 100 %, pero ví pocas cosas, aunque he de suponer, que nadie o casi nadie cocina, a lo más el desayuno y la cena. Por último decir que teníamos un teléfono de contacto y en cuanto lo llamamos allí estaba, con la llave. No tardó ni un minuto y es que Segura de la Sierra es un pueblo pequeñito.
